wow... another amazing 2d piece but with poor lighting quality... still from what i see i'll give it a really good
Ed Lucas:
The movement at "We'll have something to talk" seems a tad timid for due to his previous action. I'm not sure as to who is in the background, but I assumed it was his son, the dancing seem somewhat distracting than an aid to the piece. Good job bro
Matt Hirengen:
great job
colus havenga:
well done!
Chris Niewinski:
Is that a character from Disney's Tarzan? Nice drawn animation. I can't tell what kind of character that is in the background though.
Paul Fuller:
Animation wise I think that things are looking great and I commend you for the hand drawn lip synch. However, I feel like the face doesn't show much emotion. His gestures go well with the audio but his facial expressions don't match up with his body.
Adam Green:
Nice physicality in this piece, especially for 2D. Im not sure you need the finger twirl (or the moonwalking) at the end, it seems to get busy when it seems like the dialogue wants you to focus a bit. I think simplifying the end would help it quite a bit. Nice work overall!
Shon Stewart:
This is my personal opinion:
I liked it up till the son showed up. It made the hole animation feel Cheep. It makes me feel like you are making fun of the father. He is obviously a loving father and you took great care to animate him well! so it makes me upset to see all that good emotion made fun of by an inappropriate gag.
I seen this happen in a lot of animation this month but out of all those yours has the best animated father!
Srujith kumar Ogirala:
nice
natalie:
ha! I love you, Michaaaael!!!
I laughed. Why didnt you finish it?
luv2animate:
I love 2d animation..Nice job..keep it up!!
Raasi N:
Good to see 2D animation entry.
Son enters the scene towards the end.I feel it would have look more emphatic if he was seen at least during the middle of the dialogue, example when he says ...
"..he has a gift" the second time...
Andre de Villiers:
Interesting use of contrast with his arms
Ronny:
DUDE!!!!! that's awesome to bad I cuts at the end, I love the detail on the character, this looks like disney great work
Max Perelman:
Nice work--not sure the big point on "He.. has a gift!" quite works, but very nice overall. Could really use some cleanup, tho', between the pencil and the compression it's barely viewable.
Cameron Huber:
I could be wrong, but is this Bruno's work?
This animation is wicked and the movements are all very smooth but I get the sense that you're playing things safe at the moment with your acting choices. They all work but they seem kind of reserved and have the potential to be pushed a lot more. When he says "then, Maybe..." - I feel that this is a good level of exaggeration to suit the audio file.
Very nicely done though man!
Carol Cheng:
Great job! What a surprising ending! I like your lip sync and expression and weight and animation... everything.
Barnabas Boehler:
Wow!
One of the best and it's done in 2D again! I can see this one winning and I think it's awesome that people still do 2D stuff. Do you have a special cam-setup at your house?
Anyways, the only things I can find to improve our technical ones. First, the BG character is a bit hard to see...I think you just need to soldify the pencil lines on him. And there are a few drawings that seem faded or the light is too intense.
Otherwise GReat reel piece.
barak drori:
you must finish it, this rocks
Mark Homoky:
Awesome!! Love the interpretation. Very good facial expressions and love the entrance of the moonwalking son (backwards of course) at F235 (just).
Great to see some really worthy contenders in traditional animation formats too.
Well done. Hope you do well.
Martin Silfvast:
great character!
Andy Hass:
Ah, that made me laugh. I really like your use of shoulders here.
Matthieu Delaere:
Great one!!
E. Cooman:
To bad it aint in color, but this does look pretty good. Compliments
Frank G:
I prefer to see an idication or silouhette of who the character is talking to. Prefer, the character not to be talking directly to me as the viewer. Good work with the animation.. Appealing character design. Deserves to be rated well.
James Fearn-Wannan:
That's great! There were a few moments where I thought there was a little too much movement (when he leans on the log and when he pulls his hand in after pointing) but, by and large, it's working terrifically.
