Nice work!
Ethan Cooksmith:
this was good...up untill the crotch joke
Ian Jacobson:
Great idea! Watch the shape of your F's.
Corey McDaniel:
very funny, the theme but the animation itself is very comical
Bill Zebleckis:
very nice job...keep it up
Matt Hirengen:
Faaaaaantastic!
Jeremy Schichtel:
love it, I like how it takes him awhile to grab the apple
Ed. Hull:
Awesome!
Carlos Chavez:
hahaha..
great work!
really funny
Josh:
The subtlety is the apple handoff is great.
David Shum:
love the pause he does when he says "Then"
Jeff Kim:
I think the body animation is solid except for the poppiness 226-233. The reaction in the gut could have more punch to it but it's still fine as it is.
The lip sync could have used another pass. Otherwise, a very strong, entertaining piece!
Joey Gates:
Very cool! The father and son interaction at the beginning is a very nice touch. When he says "My son..." you can tell he means it. Great job!
Cameron Huber:
haha wicked setup man, I'm really digging it!
There were only a few things that stood out to me. On F 58 the boy's left arm feels really broken and not a smooth shape. Bend the arm out more and then rotate the wrist up as he hands the apple to his dad. The dad's breath in felt good in the face but there was nothing in the body to suggest that he is breathing. Even if it's really subtle it will make that so much stronger. I noticed that the apple jiggles when he puts it atop his head (parenting issue?) and it drags a bit too long as he falls forward.
Other than that, a really nice effort man!
Shon Stewart:
Cute. That little boy is the cutest thing I've seen in this competition!
Guo WenZHeng:
won this is great...
Paul Wei:
Really liked the concept. Wish it were more polished but good execution so far.
James Lee:
The way the kid runs off screen is so cool. Awesome job in capturing that child like quality.
Florent Perrin:
Very cool acting.
The moment where he points his son at around 150 is perhaps too much. A simple look at the spectator could have been enough, and you would have a moment of calm...
Sergey B.:
very nice
luv2animate:
OUCHH..what a miss!!!Beauty,I mean the animation not the hit!!
Ronny:
nice timing
Ben Harper:
nice twist and a believable performance.good work!
David Jonson:
HA````prettiness~!!!
Noah:
Nice level of polish, and a cute (and non-obtrusive) story. I think the audio has a certain level of hostility and tension towards the end that your acting doesn't mirror though. Like on the word "acknowledge", which is very aggressive and stressed in the audio track, your character isn't even looking at his subject at the time? Feels a little unnatural.
Barnabas Boehler:
Wow, Tim..you did it again!!
Awesome to see your ninja animation skills taking you to the top of the charts again!
I like all the small details you have here..like the feather on the hat. My only minor crit is that he seems to get cut off mid-action at the end and he seems to freeze when the apple keeps moving. I would prefer to see that settle a little before ending the shot..just to give the joke more time to read. (though, it may have been a time issue)
Mark Homoky:
OK from the outset it's abundantly clear you've thought this concept through thoroughly from start to finish. The anticipation of the audience is clear from F60 as the boy hands over the apple to his father.
I can't fault this at all - nice simple clear set, great use of lighting and simple costume and lots of nice touches with poses and facial expressions.
I particularly like the simple way the choice of camera angle works so well (from the boy's level). I love the way you've captured everything down to the feather in the boy's hat swaying as he walks away.
It's clear poor dad wasn't expecting *that* at F287. The follow through at F288 makes me whince.
A very worthy contender for this month's prize in my eyes. Best of luck :-)
Andy Hass:
That little shuffle off cracks me up.
Rick Benz:
childs walking seemed like he was stopping his feet as he walked and not just walked, would have liked to see more reaction in the end, over all really good
E. Cooman:
Love the ID, nice acting and LS. Great!
Artem:
Really good! Animation is awesone!
Raasi N:
Son looks really cute as a kid while walking across..
Carlos Fins:
I love the kid's walk.. haha nice work
Chintan Shah:
Awesome :) love the idea... love the kid's walk... maybe you could have pushed the old guy's poses a little more, just a bit..
but its really awesome :)
once again.. the kid's walk is awesome :D
Alejandro Perez:
The lip sync is a little off, maybe if you offset it by two frames or so it will match. The animation is really funny.
kEViN:
Funny!
Brad Regier:
fun characters
watch your silhouette at the beginning
maybe have him close his eyes confidently before getting hit
Frank G:
Top marks for humour. Good story telling.
Used the point gesture on 'He!'... 'has a gift', where I was looking amplifying acting for how the father feels about his son's gift - it was softened by the hand on heart gesture just before the point. This is a clear, polished animation. Lots of stars.
Chad Swanson:
great animation. Good gag. I like ya got a keeper here.
Kevin:
Wow. Great story, timing, and payoff. Acting is very nice.
Ashwani:
good
Andre de Villiers:
ouch!
picasso:
