Nice work! I really like the subtlety of the knife draw in this one, and the reaction of the other character. Facial expressions are great. Poses and movement is good, and not over the top. Nice!
Jett Atwood:
Not bad but push the poses a bit more. The posing could be a bit stronger...there's not very much contrast in the change in attitude with the character delivering the dialogue.
Erik Griott:
i dont think im feeling the right emotion from this piece. the white shirt guy seems a little too happy too be giving up the mail he was just fighting for.
Taber Dunipace:
I though this one was ok up until I saw the end. At the final line the second character seems perfectly happy and content without any indication that the knife has intimidated or upset him. We NEED this level of subtlety to understand the situation. The striped character is better acted, but he's doing hollow jestures for most of the animation; looking at nothing in particular, doing general gestures of annoyance. This would need better acting study for improvement.
Dave H Shovlin:
Strong acting. Lovely antics and settles. Superb work.
P Walters:
Nice. i like the mohawk guy's facial expressions. Nice movement, good blocking. The hand gestures feel a bit generic but overall very nice!
Virgil Mihailescu:
hehe, I see many people have twisted the idea into something like this. but this one here is the first I think actually sort of works... (although again, the 'all done' at the end... doesn't exactly match so ideally...) I like the purple guy's head gesture on 'we have to'. At the end... I think he could have been more menacing and more involved though... The green guy has also quite a little bit of room for improvement - his poses are not all of them so motivated, and I think he could do better with less movement. Overall, not bad.
Missy Feaster:
Good animation....try to push the acting choices.
Salvador García Luque:
The expressions of the characters are great, the secondary animation was very nice, but there is something about the lipsynccing that doesnt looks right
Eric Scheur:
Nice work! I like the way you distinguish between the characters' personalities. :)
I think the one thing that stands out to me the most as needing work, is directing the audience's eye. For example, when the second guy says "Wait!"... our attention should be focused only on him. But the way you have Purple Shirt moving during that part kind of distracts us from paying attention to the person who is actually talking. Likewise, White Shirt's movements in that section are a little subdued, so they don't really pull our attention towards him. You can still have him be cautious and meek while drawing our attention towards him--it's a tricky line to walk, I know, but I think it would definitely help tell us where we should be looking at any particular moment.
I look forward to seeing your next submission! :)
Christopher Lutz:
Body movements of the left guy are not completely clear.
Yeray Díaz Díaz:
Nice work! Everything reads perfectly, the poses look nice and well placed. Maybe they lack some strength, specially the first one of the "bad" character. Still, good job!
vic:
gud sense of acting... and nice timing dude.... good going
C. J. Cow:
good stuff
Aaron Clement:
Good ending. Lip sync felt off at times
Bilal Ahmad:
you could've done a bit more on the statement "someone else's mail"
Matt Garward:
Good work, with a nice reaction on the letter-holder at the end. The mohawk character's acting is good, alive but subtle. Some poses on the right-hand character could be stronger, especially around f130... the arms & shoulders, and head thrust forward, seems very awkward, though that character should be taking charge in that section. the pointed finger at 222 stands out as a strange action, though the rest of the action through that section is good. The anticipation before purple grabs the knife feels really good.
Alison K. Sanders:
Hey, You've got some good body mechanics going on here, but I don't think the situation is the strongest. I don't really read her reaction to his pulling out the knife, and I think that is key to the whole thing working and her handing over the envelope.
Gregory Marlow:
Very nice. I hate that rig though, doesnt allow you to push the face to extremes. But I cant fault you for that. Looks good.
Victor Wong:
Facial expression on the purple guy is handled well. Lip sync on the other guy is slightly off, and the acting is a bit delayed.
Jennifer Anaya:
subtle but nice. but it seems a little detached to me. maybe it would be better if they were facing each other more. good job!
Roshan.k:
nice acting. animation is a little stiff but great job on the acting and expressions!
David Shum:
i like the reaction on the white shirt guy after hearing the "snip"
But it could've been alot stronger.
He feels quite happy with how things turned out, and not surprised at all.
ANd it also feels weird that for the majority of the shot, both characters are looking off screen. Its hard for the viewer to focus on... well what ever you want us to be focusing on.
Scott Farrell:
would like to see more eye contact here. This dialogue is confrontational and I think removing eye contact makes it lose some juice of the dialogue
Olivier Ladeuix:
what makes the guy hand in the letter to the other guy, is he threatening him? make it clearer.
Danny Garnett:
nice work! great acting and animation
Mike Courtney:
Good stuff all around. I think the poses could be exaggerated more and the animation could fit the audio better. When "all done" is said, nothing has happened to the letter.
Christiaan Moleman:
I think the "here" gesture could be smaller. You don't have to bring up the envelope.
