Maybe the bird can stretch and squash before flying and prepare itself

It looks like the bird's form warps a bit, and the shifts appear to happen during the inbetweens I think. Love the wing flaps; very effective!

Ben Ross:

The animation looks nicely done. The bird, in particular, draws the most attention and, when it flies off, the wingbeats seem to sync well with the sound of footsteps in the dialogue. My main critiques are my confusion over whether the structure with the bars is meant to be a birdcage or a window (though I think it might be the latter), and some of the mouth movements could use a bit more work. But, overall, good work.
