I love the character design and the color pallette in this. Very soft, and squishy. The lip sync is a little off, and the sudden change of scenery was too abrupt. Like I understand the shock factor, but it didn't feel like a natural transition. Keeping the same color background through the first frames would make that suddent change a lot smoother. Also maybe moving him closer to her in the last little bit, or make her and the gravestone a bit bigger so that the two look closer? That way it still feels like a natural transition from him touching her arm to showing her grave.
Cute animation though all in all. The concept is really good, and captures the tone really well.

Biola Animation:

The way the characters seem to be in a different environment in the final shot is distracting, as is unsynced lip sync. The slight change of camera angles from shot one to shot two is a bit of a jump cut and creates visual confusion. Why do a cut at all in the middle of a nine-word bit of dialogue? Instead, just wait until the daughter starts speaking to cut to her.

Kara Lawson:

This visual style is so appealing!

Dean:

The characters are so cute

John Alston:

I tend to be pretentious toward motion graphics, because it's everywhere and does seem to be an accidental punch down to the people who draw 1440 frames on "ones" for 24 fps..

But I'll gladly swallow my pride..and..

Oh, okay- I'm returning my pride- the vector key-frame chopiness haunts my dreams.
