It's weird, because if it were a FlipaClip or Pencil2D animation by a high schooler, I'd say it's good...but going past this it's not particularly polished- ihe characters break the 180 degree line, pupils are not drawn in, and the camera punch in might be the only inspired bit of animation- even though it seems computer augmented.

Joshua:

I would have liked this a lot more if I could see the father and the daughter in the shot at the same time, directly interacting with each other, this just makes them feel disconnected by not really allowing to see one's actions affect the other, sure it's implied by the cut aways but it removes any sense of tension, closeness, or emotional connection the two are making.

Marin Elise:

Interesting but the camera placement and the quick cut to the female character feel odd. Maybe should have more of the bodies showing; feels under-acted.
