Dont forget to blink!
dan alvarez:
Good effort, but need a lot of work!
Just for the main character, I would suggest to only do pose to pose animation for now. Your character is quite floaty and seems to have no real direction. Perhaps just doing full poses, this will increase your awareness of how he should move.
Ian John White:
No bad, let down by the ability of the rigs and meshes I feel, quite like some of the snappy-ness you have on the heads.
Johnny Castuciano:
funny
Kamal Bhattacharjee:
good approach...
But floaty....
Ben Hammersley:
The beak takes a lot away from the performance.
Charles Eubanks:
This month's audio track has some very strong dialog performance, and the character you chose has his mouth set pretty far back (and out of sight most of the time), which makes it hard to match the dialog. You do a better job with the second character... but next month, consider using one of the pre-built rigs. You may find that you're better able to achieve the performance you want with a different model.
chrisbyk:
Nice concept, but more contrasted poses would make it much better
Diego Oriani:
Some moving holds would be great for the second character.
Yeray Díaz Díaz:
Hold the poses more, the animation is quite floaty.
Aaron Clement:
Good ending. The rest needs work. The guard needs to move even if it's only a little bit. When you keep things still with no movement like with the guard, they die in 3D... maybe in 2D you wouldn't have got away with that... even there you'd need something to keep him alive... even an eye blink would have been better than nothing.
Cameron Huber:
The body movements are getting there but I found the face on the main character to be really expressionless apart from the lip movement - he barely moves his eyes or his eyebrows
sharad kumar:
keep working hard!
Paulo Clayton:
Nice character concept, but the design of the main character's mouth made it hard to see it speak. 2nd character was more convincing and smooth.
J Saunders:
the yellow duck should move a react a little during the first part.
andrew s:
Try to get nice silhouettes conveying the mood of your character. Work on that and timing, not even worrying about lip sync just yet. I can see what you were going for, it just needs work..
Andrew Stovesand:
funny characters
Taber Dunipace:
Very floaty CGI animation without any emphasis. Study the principals.
Renn:
Lip sync is all over the shop here. Maybe a duck isn't the best thing to animate on if you want good expressions? I think the movement overcompensates a bit though.
Also, keep in mind the motion of the second character... or lack thereof. Some subtle idle standing animation would really improve this animation.
Solid effort!
