Although the competition isn't judged on the backgrounds. It's supposed to be about the character animation, if you're adding a background, take a deeper look at how you use perspective. The counter tops aren't all using the same vanishing points.
Great start on the animation though. Try to add more inbetweens to give a more fluid motion.
