The startlement at hearing the word "dying" really lacks believability, especially as it's obvious he doesn't mean an actual physical death. The extraneous scenes and characters also hurt this entry. Also keep the camera static. You want the focus to be on the two main characters, not on distracting camera movements. For non-experts, moving the camera usually hurts a lot more than it helps.
