If the main focus is going to be the daughter, have more movement on the daughter.

Quite stiff, there is some good idea for the expressions, but there is unnecessary movement, and the lack of the other character cheapens it a bit.

when you have all the attention of the character that does the least amount of speaking, you need to really up the ante with those expressions.
