Re: MC Week 14 - Flip

Here's a flip jump I did.

It took me roughly 7 hours with no reference.

Re: MC Week 14 - Flip

Hi, I have a question regarding 3D rigs in flips. When the character is upside down, does your world control rotate upside down as well? or you manually pose the rig upside down while the world control is still right-side up? I did a cartwheel sometime ago and the flipping killed me - technically.

Re: MC Week 14 - Flip

You generally don't want to use the world control for something like that. It's mainly used for placing the character in the scene. You'd want to use the characters COG (Center of Gravity, or other such name) control to do the main movements in the body.

Re: MC Week 14 - Flip

-save it and print it out
-attach it to a sheet of black construction paper
-cut it out on the big circle
-cut out the triangles at the edge
-push a pencil through the center

Hold it up to a mirror and peer through the notches as you spin the pencil.
