Definitely like the second one without the pointed chin, but we can always add that as a facial feature down the road.
Who here is going to be tackling the modeling? I've tried my hand at organic modeling and I'm complete garbage at it, so we need some volunteers ![]()

I think this design is going in the right direction. To start the modeling part of it someone needs to do a strait on front view and a side view where the proportions for both are the same. Also it is imperative that you guys make sure the flow of your geometry on the mesh is good for animation. Otherwise you are gonna wind up with some real wonky-ness when you get to skinning.

Glad to help out where I can. I doubt I'll be able to contribute directly to the project though. Way too much going on in my life these days.

The taller versions of Ranfart's character is quite appealing. As a person who watches reels a lot I wouldn't mind seeing that character moving around. I don't think the elongated face is needed as a base face, but add the chin mod as an option later. My biggest suggestion would be to give the female more hips. Right now the girl's design looks like a guy wearing a stuffed bra and a wig. The key to a female figure is curves on the top and the bottom, not just the top. And the arms, shoulder & hands are also gonna need to be modified to have a good female shape. The Andy rig that's been around for a while didn't do a very good job of that, leaving a character that was too androgynous all around.

Whooaaa!!!! Crazy thing going on here. Spend a while going through each and every post. Feel so excited about it and glad i read it just on time or else i would have felt like living in a Stone age, If i read it around sometime later with 100's of pages already in this thread ![]()
BTW Thanks to Keith for being around for every one of us here and provide us with his professional eye and fantastic inputs. Oh! and the quick and dirty tutorial definitely would be a gold for this project, I am pretty sure about that ![]()
I am by no mean a rigger or even good at drawing but definitely can help brainstorming things, as far as i can think ![]()
Just wanted to add a 2 cent from me as a suggestion : How about everyone of us (Already involved or planning to join in) make use of sites like http://www.tokbox.com and setup online meeting to discuss on the projects, I think that will be a good idea meeting everyone face to face or at least hear what one has to say directly with everyone around. Verbal and visual communication might make thing even more better than just pouring in our thought through words ![]()

Yeah I agree about the time zone situation. But i guess if we sort out the timing, we might have few people already available at a particular time we decide. Better than none i guess ![]()
Also it could be that we can break up the meetings in twice or thrice meet ups, such that if some on isn't available at one time can meet with the next or remaining guys at the next meeting time and I am sure there would be people who can be available twice a day so he/she can discuss or just throw in the points discussed in the previous meet up.
Sounds difficult but guess if things have come this far on the project and everyone seems so excited and dedicated too, it won't hurt to try out on the meetings too ![]()

Asif, that's an awesome idea. Glad to see you're interested in helping out with this. I think having the meetings in 12 hour increments would do nicely for the different timezones.

Yes this is a obvious thing, my question are:
How many work would to do it the rigger?
Because of course the female anatomy are pretty different, so i can modify all without problem, but i nedd to know also some deadline :-)

Can't miss a great opportunity to learn how to rig hehehehe.... atleast some basics and I think if everything works out as thought or planned there will be quiet a lot of education sharing going on within this project, And "Why in a world would any one wanna miss that"

ranfart.. don't worry about the rigging.. if the design calls for it, thats not a problem.. altering hips and shoulders will be a fixable problem..
