IK worldspace controle

Hi i am animating a Dog and the IK works ok but it could be better for me.
Daniel in the video below is able to move joints like this in FK. From what i understand the rotations are parented but the transforms are the same.
Please can someone explain or have any link on how to adopt this onto my standard FK/IK rig of a dog leg?
