Re: 11 Second Club Rig

I'm actually using the eleven rig now for my final animation 2 project, it's very flexible (should be done in a week or so). I hope there's more additions to it in the future, it doesn't matter if it doesn't have the extra bells and whistles like other rigs out there, as long as it functions well it's good enough for any animator.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Is this rig still being made?

Animation is about creating the illusion of life. And you can't create it if you don't have one.

It's still available for download but the creators don't make modifications often.  http://www.11secondclub.com/forum/viewt … p?id=26555

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

If Anyone is using Eleven,
you may find that the eyeball is strange and the Foot Roll values don't work well.

This script will fix those things:
Place this script in the Script editor and execute (press number pad 'enter').

//reverses the normals on the eye geo

polyNormal -normalMode 0 -userNormalMode 0 -ch 1 r_eye_dir_grp|Vitor_Eye_olho_fora;
polyNormal -normalMode 0 -userNormalMode 0 -ch 1 r_eye_dir_grp|Vitor_Eye_olho_fora|Vitor_Eye_olho_geo;
polyNormal -normalMode 0 -userNormalMode 0 -ch 1 r_eye_dir_grp|Vitor_Eye_olho_fora|Vitor_Eye_pupila;

//fixes the Roll attribute

select -r r_ball_grp ;
selectKey -clear ;
selectKey -add -k -f 2 r_ball_grp_rotateZ ;
keyTangent -itt spline -ott spline;

selectKey -clear ;
select -cl  ;
selectKey -add -k -f 2 l_ball_grp_rotateZ ;
keyTangent -itt spline -ott spline;

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Hello. I've just recently downloaded the rig, for a project and it absolutely perfect for what my project requires. I just can't seem to be able to find/show the facial controls for 3DS MAX. Someone please help me out!

@djdancer , I could be wrong but I think the Eleven Rig was designed for Maya and not 3ds Max.unless you are talking about a different rig?

Actually, you are wrong, there is a version for 3ds Max. Chris said he's onto redoing it, if I remember correctly, but I don't know how far he got there yet...

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Hi guys,

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/katana2665/Max11%202014_zpsdzscfquc.jpg

I really haven't checked back on this for a while. Status of the 3DS max version is that I havent touched it in over a year now. Where i left off was that i had brought in a newer head with ears sculpted in and was working on the facial skinning. The body is already done.

I had done a Rocker character mod for it, a Luke Skywalker Mod and a Vector (Despicable Me) mod for it, which entailed clothing, hair and props.

I wanted to eliminate the old wire frame gui for something more like a side panel for extra controls. So to build that, I had been learning about some of the coding involved. Unfortunately, I didn't get all that far.

The past year has been spent doing toy design in Solidworks, for radio control motorcycles.

Will I get back to this project? Possibly. Since this is an open source project, i am willing to share my work with anyone who thinks they have the drive and knowledge to finish it.

I am more inclined to work on a new character of my own design at this point and have hundreds of ideas in my sketchbooks.

Anyway, that's all I can offer for the moment.

Thanks for posting that script im2dguy. Just wondering, is that for the Maya version of the Eleven rig?

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

I have a problem with the rig ! For some reason some of the controls are not working at all. Like the Midbrow control or the lip controls.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Which software are you using? If Blender, I've had the best luck with Blender 2.67b or earlier.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Hi I just started using this Eleven rig and don't really have much knowledge in rigging. I'm using 3DS Max
For me I've noticed that the right thumb doesn't seem to be working properly. It stretches back but doesn't scrunch inwards.
Also the same hands scale doesn't seem to have any effect where as it all works fine on the opposite hand.
If anyone knows how to fix this it would help me an awful lot. Thank you.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

I know the previous entry is old. The control on that hand is probably locked. It can be unlocked by clicking on the control and going into curve editor on the pop-up menu.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

@Adrianaaaa, check to make sure the face normals are facing the correct way.  Sounds like that might be the issue.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Is somebody still using this rig? I'm having some issues with the eyes in Maya with Mental Ray, but it's not the usual "inverse normals" problem (the eyes are completely invisible in mental ray). Deleting the "eye shader transparency" objects which cover the eyes (for the "glassy" eye effect) doesn't help either so that's not the issue. The only thing I've found out so far is that an eye becomes visible again once the mesh in the outliner is relocated outside of "b:h_r_eye_loc" (as shown in the image), which of course breaks the rig again.

I'm using Maya 2017 and ElevenRig_v1.2

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Make sure that those groups don't have visibility overrides vs moving the geo out of them.  Make sure they're not in a display layer as well.  I would leave things where they need to be, and just make sure there aren't any overrides present on the parent groups.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Instead of fiddling around with Mental Ray I simply switched to Renderman (which works splendid), thank you for the quick answer though! smile
