Re: May Competition Brainstorming thread

Tough one. To me this has a bit of a whacky feel to it. It kind of feels like it could be totally random and you'd get away with it. The sound that's really sticking with me is the drum at the beginning. I'm picturing that either the main speaker is banging on some drums, or he has a henchman with him who's doing it. The kid feels like he could be doing anything and just happens upon this dude. He could be walking through a park reading a book and then there's this man who suddenly starts talking to him. Or he works at a store and he comes in, turns the lights on and there's this guy.

As you can tell I haven't come up with any concrete scenarios.....

Re: May Competition Brainstorming thread

Having never seen GOT, I assumed sword-play was involved, didn't think it was a little girl, and am surprised by the really subdued performance from the male lead, considering his audio clip is so deliciously devilish!  Thanks for the clip, and for confirming my suspicion.  Cheers,

Re: May Competition Brainstorming thread

Am I allowed to use Source Filmmaker to make the animations? I have tried to look for an answer but I can't seem to find anything. BTW I am a novice animator and I am taking a course on filming at the moment

Re: May Competition Brainstorming thread

yes it is, It uses the source game engine to make animations, and it uses the character models from valve games and what other people have created

@strangelyTired

as long as you are not trying to profit on the videos made from sourcefilmmaker - its fine

The valve characters have been used in previous 11 second competitions

Re: May Competition Brainstorming thread

One animation per one user, if you want to have another animation you need another user account  but its really stupid to have a second animation as one month is just enough time for even good animators to produce a decent animation, but that's your choice.

Good Luck !! And happy animating to all

Re: May Competition Brainstorming thread

Having never seen that clip before I've already started on a sword training scene. I'll just keep going with this one since I've already started it smile

Re: May Competition Brainstorming thread

You should post your work to get some feedback, doesn't really matter if your using a sword scene, I've already seen someone using a sword in their scene, just try your best to make a good animation, after all that is what animation is all about, creating something new and fresh.

Ok I will. Posting helps me to actually finish it instead of starting and stopping after complications smile thanks
