READ THIS IF YOU'RE HAVING TROUBLE EMBEDDING A VIDEO IN YOUR POST
Hi there!
Sorry, I know I'm posting this double, but as this topic might be of interest for both sections I've been posting this in, please bear with me
UPDATED 07/08/2016
As this has been asked a million times already (I'm not blaming you ) I thought about writing a quick 'how to' for embedding videos in your post. Plus, making sure the video is embedded in your post will usually give you a lot more crits and suggestions to your animation than just a link to somewhere.
Because it enables the viewer to step through your video frame by frame, the best option is to get a movie file which is by default associated with quicktime (such as .mov or .mp4, for example), make sure your video is less than 10 MB (for obvious reasons, no one is going to wait for a monstrous video file to load), host it somewhere and just paste the link here in your post.
EDIT: If the Quicktime file is working, but takes ages to load, check the 'prepare for internet streaming' checkbox when encoding ('exporting') it in Quicktime pro. Other programs might have similar options
If you don't have any webspace for yourself, the best bet at the moment would be to use dropbox for it. Just place the movie in the public folder, rightclick it, choose 'copy public link' and paste that in your post.
If the video doesn't show, it is most probably one of the following:
-it's not uploaded yet
-it's a codec quicktime isn't associated with
-it's on a secure connection, you can usually get around that if you just remove the 's' from the https:// in the link
However, dropbox just recently changed some of the structure it works with, and removed the public folder from any new account that is being created. Now you can just make any file or folder public in your dropbox, but for some reason this has also disabled the embedding feature. You can get past that, if you change the public link from looking like this:
http://www.dropbox.blablabla
to this:
http://dl.dropbox.blablabla
and it should work again.
EDIT:
If you don't have this public folder, you will probably run into the problem that dropbox also creates a '?dl=0' behind the link.
The 11secondclub forum software doesn't understand such a video link if it doesn't end with the filetype extension, so in order to get the video embedded, delete everything in the link after the file type extension (.mov or .mpg4, for example) and it should work.
the link i typed to embed the video below looks like this:
Usually, this should be applicable to other direct video links as well, even though I have no possibility to try it out now. If you tried all of this, and embedding still doesn't work, you are probably using a sharing service that prohibits video embedding (many of them do that, actually)
If for some reason you can't use such an sharing service, you could still fall back to a video sharing website, such as youtube or vimeo. just make sure you only copy the video url and not all the stuff that youtube, for example, puts in the link, like so:
Good:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SoZbIhaAes
Bad:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SoZbIhaAes&feature=channel&list=UL

the link i typed to embed the video below looks like this:
UPDATE:It seems that a Vimeo video now only embeds if you rate the content to 'all users' in the video's basic settings. After I did that, the above link showed in the post again as embedded video and not only as a 'direct link'.
Since some time, many of the video portal sites use secure connections for the videos, and this forum doesn't understand that, so if posting such a link doesn't work, just remove the 's' from the https:// and everything should be fine.
I have, however, heard (and experienced myself) that youtube does stuff to your video, like inserting falseframes, ripping the codec apart, unsyncing the audio track or even blocking a video in some countries, and because of those cases, I myself pretty much stopped using youtube altogether.
I hope this is a bit helpful for you, I'll try to keep this post up to date, if anything is changing.
Keep animating!

It's what I been mostly submitting. If it fits the right size and follows the rules it shouldn't matter how you render it because this is an animation competition.

Your welcome, I like to make sure to focus first on animation and then if you have a lot of time later and want to make it look prettier then you can try to do the render or other effects. Problem for me is I don't have After Effects installed on my computer but there are other good ways to get frames to a video like Blender can put frames into video. I just haven't spent the time to try it out. Perhaps I'm too lazy
