WIP August Competiton 2012 - Sundaynights

Ok, first time - so do not wonder if this WIP-Thread is different from the others.

I'll start with my idea in a written manner.
So, what came to my mind was that it is in a boys room, at night. The old bear - a little bit dressed like darth vader and surely "played out" - and a brand new dinosaur - fresh out of the present box. Both are on top of a shelf with view out of the window. The old bear is the only one acting - the dinosaur is in the "i have to be a good toy and don't have to move"-stage of live. The bear with experience tells him (unquestioned) about his live and interacts with the dinosaur.
Yesterday I collected ideas for for the setting and started modeling the bear. The dinosaur is allready finished as I did him last month or so with a digital tutors course. And is shown here:

The model of the bear will follow soon.

Have fun!

And here the Bear so far - turned out to be a lil bit more like my favorite toy (a tiger) - but will suite the story. Next the room setting and maybe some images to get the acting outlined.

Re: WIP August Competiton 2012 - Sundaynights

I take this as a compliment and interpret this: The dino IS an object a boy would play with.

So, here is a CamSetup - I am not sure about how to do it, should the cam stay at one place or should it move around? I am not so experienced, so I might prever the unmoved cam.

What do you think about this setup? I still need more objects to populate the sceen. (And here the dino looks not as real.)

depends. when were looking down on a character like now they seem vulnerable or inferior somehow. id make the angle a bit lower so the viewer can connect more with the characters. cool toys btw :-P

i will sleep when i'm dead :-P
