Little Boss - June 2012 Wip

Hi there, this is my firt participation in the 11second club. I'm studying 2d and 3d animation since 2010.
This is a test of poses. I did a video reference after.
The other guy will not appear very.

What do you think?
Thanks

I think it might be a little bit chaotic at the beginning, however that could just be because it is a pencil test. I like the contrast at the end though. I think in order to make the dramatic beginning work, you should concentrate on having a lot of moving holds and pauses between the first guy's actions, that way the audience will have time to catch up with what is happening. Looking forward to seeing the rest!

Cool. The energy and attitude of the right guy matches to the audio very well in my opinion. The beginning with the guy grabbing the other guys shirt looks great - you just might think about staging it differently so the right guy's face isn't occluded. Also be aware that he repeats nearly the same action three times in a row (aniticipation - hands grab shirt, anticipation - hands hit table, anticipation - hands hit table).   I did not notice that the left guy lights the cigarette when watching it the first times because I was watchting the other dude. I'm not sure if this action is necessary at all - I don't really see the point of it.
The ending with the feet on the table and taking a smoke looks great again (just the spine might be a little bit too straight). Looking forward to seeing more.

Hi danilodiasferraz
I'd advice you to listen closely to the dialogue again.
Not just the words, but how they are spoken.
They way words are pronounced, changes quite a lot, depending on what physical move you are doing, while pronouncing them.
In your case it is mainly the pulling of the collar at "fighting" that seems off. My advice would be to ditch that pose completely. It doesn't sound like he is moving a lot, why saying those words. Though in your shot, he is moving all over the place, all the time smile

Also, think about the relationship between the two characters. Why is that other guy in the shot, if he is neutral throughout the whole shot?
I know it's late in the process, but I'd for a next entry, think about finding as few keyposes as you can, and work within them. Around 3 should usually be enough, of course depending on the shot. But I'm counting around 10 new unique poses which is way too much for a 13 second shot, even with the energy put into the dialogue.

Hope it helps a bit smile
