Re: 11 Second Club Rig

hmm... well maybe I redid the aim constraint? I actually can't remember sad
You do know that you have to edit this in the rig scene itself, and not in the animation scene? (kinda obvious, I know big_smile)
How about loading the new eleven in the scene and copying the aim constraint settings over to yours?
Or, sending me your mod and I'll just have a look myself? That's optional, of course smile

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Yes!  It worked!   I fixed the eyes.

I think the cluster/geobase stuff might be too beyond me.   I guess I'll have go without the corners.  Ah well.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Ellie, I'm glad it worked! I found that by just trying around and just doing stuff, I learned most of my 'skills' big_smile Many things I know of rigging I found because I had to reverse engineer the elevenrig in order to keep maintaining it. But there still is some crazy stuff going on underneath the hood I have no idea how Angelo could have made this happen big_smile
So, if you have some time, you might still want to try the clusters, since this is something that definitely will come in handy later on in your animation career. And it really isn't that hard! I'm just bad at explaining big_smile

Katana! Awesome! I keep being excited about this smile

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

The skin renders out black so I broke the connection for the skin texture and selected a colour of my own which fixed the problem. However, the eyes don't render properly, I noticed that the 'eye ahader' has a file texture linked to it.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Yes, that right, the eyes have a texture (even more than one, so you can change the eye color). You problem is obviously that you haven't set the project directory, so maya is at a loss when looking for the textures and thus renders out black. If you doubleclick on the texture node, you'll find a dialogue which leads maya to the texture file. If you edit this path so it fits your directory setup, I promise everything will render out fine. (Even the skin texture)

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Max 11 Torso is skinned and all torso morphs are functional.

Onto the head tomorrow.

I'd also like to put a constraint on the hands for holding things...we'll see.

*And yes the hands are default. I am intending to put hand scalers in there.

* Wolfor, you have email, get back to me when you can...thanks.

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

Hello,

I was hoping to ask you one of the issue I came across while using the Eleven rig.
I noticed the texture of the rig wasn't showing up properly on my shot.
I am suspecting it might something to do with having two characters in the scene both referenced from the same rig modified to look different, and the texture is clashing.

If so do you know any way to fix this?
Please let me know,
and thank you so much for the awesome rig!!

Thanks

Hi!
So you're anonymous big_smile So I'll say it here again, "not showing up properly" is so vague I can't give you any solutions for that. Sorry. Is the texture path set correctly already?

Re: 11 Second Club Rig

I am happy to report that Max 11 (Alpha) is finally finished and ready for testing. I am going to write up some documentation and then post it for breakage...I mean download.

This version has

6 unique torso blends
56 head morphs
1 new Eye Texture (yellow)
2 new hair types (Mohawk high and low)
3 unique face blends (Male,Female and Apehead)
A UV map for those who like to play in Photoshop.
Hand scalers to size for male or female.
As well as eye shape controls, brow controls (which are also linked to eyebrows) and local lip controls.
The facial hair pieces are a combination of skin wrap and skinning.

All major geometry has corresponding materials assigned to them, making it easy to quickly change colors.

Here's a pic from viewport with meshsmooth on 1 iteration.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/katana2665/Max11ViewportPresentation2.png

This project is in Alpha, so changes and additional adds will come as the community advises....and hopefully this won't be a complete failure...expect the download link to appear in the next 24 hours.smile
