Re: Female version of AnimSchool's Malcolm Rig released to the public

With the amount of info given, this problem could virtually be anything.
But seeing the rig working almost everywhere else, I'd say its a PEBKAC.

Re: Female version of AnimSchool's Malcolm Rig released to the public

It works for me in Maya 2011. You don't want to try to load the scene from the ma file or within the zip folder, you want to load Maya first then navigate to the scene...and don't forget to put the picker in there too.smile

Re: Female version of AnimSchool's Malcolm Rig released to the public

To be honest I think it's a 32/64 bit issue.

I'm using maya 2008 32bit and have no problems opening malcolm. But the female version keeps giving me fatal error when I reference her. Any ways to convert it to a 32 bit version?

Re: Female version of AnimSchool's Malcolm Rig released to the public

Nope, 32/64 bit doesn't make any difference there.
The reason the female Malcolm is not working in Maya 2008 is that it contains some operands that are only in maya 2011 and above. It does say so in the download filename, too, I seem to remember smile

Re: Female version of AnimSchool's Malcolm Rig released to the public

true.. I had downloaded it earlier just to have the model. Now, wanting to use it I went back to check the actual requirements of the file.. So looks like I'll have to "find" the 2011 version wink

It does say 'Maya 2011' on the download site, doesn't it?

Re: Female version of AnimSchool's Malcolm Rig released to the public

I followed these steps, and it gives me like a brown silhouette head. I've tried to uncheck every box once at a time in the render stats, to see which one is the problem, but no results... it must be something else..
I'm new to maya, sorry if its a basic thing..
