Re: WIP_of_my_work_

Hey Jigar!

The animation is looking great, it's one of the best ones I've seen in here! The beginning and the end work really well, the timing and spacing are working great. One thing I noticed was the part when the ball falls into the bowl:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6827112/Crit01.jpg

Right now it's falling in an almost straight line after frame 40, and if you see carefully, it travels more to the right from frame 45 to 46 than it does from 40 to 45. You should make the ball travel to the side more, remember that it's bouncing from the left to the right, and while it falls, it still has the momentum from the previous bounces, so it should keep travelling to the right. Also, in that part the spacing is pretty even. There's a great difference from 38-39 and 40-41 and from 41 until 46 the spacing is almost the same, try having the ball slow out at 38 and gradually increase the spacing. In the picture you can see how the gap between each ball becomes bigger and bigger as it falls, try doing that. Also, don't copy the arc I drew there because it's really exaggerated, I made it like that so it could be clear. Play around with the arc until it looks good. Just remember that the ball won't fall in a straight line since it has the momentum from the previous bounces.

Another detail, I noticed you have some squash and stretch in the first 3 bounces ( frames 01-31), you could add some stretch in this part too.

The other thing I noticed was the part of the bowl.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6827112/Crit02.jpg

In my opinion it's travelling way too much to the side. From the speed it gets during the fall from frame 38 to 46 it can't travel so far. To be able to reach that position in frame 71 it travels at the same speed when it should actually deaccelerate. My suggestion is to change the arc and also fix the spacing because it's travelling at different speeds. Once the ball enters the bowl (frame 47), it should go fast until 50 and then slow in until the apex of the arc, which could be somewhere between 61,62 and then it would begin to fall so the spacing would get bigger.

The rest of the animation looks excellent, great job!

I hope this helps and good luck!

Jero

Re: WIP_of_my_work_

U can probably zoom in the cam a bit. a lot of space left and bottom of the screen not really being used. I thought a bus or something was gonna come from the left side of the screen because how it's set up

Re: WIP_of_my_work_

Hi Jigar,

Love the obstacle course excercise.Timing, spacing and everything else looks perfect.
Very nicely done !! smile
Though, from what I noticed,I think you might want to check the arc between frames 69-71.
In my opinion ball should cover a bit more distance horizontally considering its arc of motion till frame 69.

That's my 2 cents.
Hope it helps smile
