Can't play the monthly videos posted by your site.

First they were playing fine.  Then the sound stopped working.  I tried testing them on IE, Firefox and Chrome.  IE didn't even play them.  FireFox which is my main browser played them but I got no sound.  Chrome just gave me a title screen that said DIVX.

I tried uninstalling my DIVX codecs and went to the divx site to download them again.  I re-installed them and now I get the DIVX black screen for both Firefox and Chrome.  IE still does not even load the video.  It just gets stuck.

I'm running windows 7 64 on a AMD 1100t black edition processor with 16 gigs of ram and an Nvidia 465 GTX.

I'm not sure if I need some special codecs or something but the videos don't seem to be working for me anymore.  I can't vote or watch the monthly winners on this site anymore.  I see people's WIP and personal works but the videos you recode and upload for all to see I can't watch anymore.  Please help!  Thank you very much!

DivX is overly greedy.  Uninstall it and our videos should work without issue.

If you're on a Mac, I recommend Perian to get the same functionality.

well it looks like my problem has reoccured and I don't even have divx installed.  The only problem this time is that I get no sound but the video plays just fine. Any Suggestions?

Re: Can't play the monthly videos posted by your site.

I have uninstalled DivX and I just got Perian. The video is still not working for me. It is odd that this is the only site I have issues with video. Also, before I ungraded my OS, I had no issues with the video. I feel like I should do a clean install of my OS.

Well I am on Safari and I can find no joy with any of the solutions offered. I think the problem is with the software this site uses but that is just my opinion.

Re: Can't play the monthly videos posted by your site.

I'm having the exact same issues. I have no additional codec or plug ins either. I just recently built this computer and havent really loaded it down with things. Videos play fine on other web sites, and I get sound on this one.. but no video.. it's odd. I am using IE 9 64 bit

It seems, for me at least, to be isolated to IE9. I installed Google Chrome and they are playing just fine in that. I wonder what makes them not work in IE9

I really think the issues is with this sites software, not with the users of this site(us). I go to a lot of different website to watch video and never have major issues, of the video not playing.

I'm having the same problem I don't even see the first frame of the video.
It's not working at all, and I've tried All browsers.
