I am currently producing an animated CG film called "The Gondolier's Dog" and am looking for character artists, CG artists, modellers and animators who are interested in getting invoived. To facilitate production I have set up a social networking site as a virtual studio.

The film is scripted and storyboarded, and the actors' voices have been recorded. We also have a composer and singer on board. Some objects and environments are currently being modelled but there's loads more to do.

There is no minimum of maximum commitment, you just need to be able to produce work to a high standard. All contributors will receive a credit on the film as well as screening invites and a DVD when the film is completed. You should regard this as a non-paying job but if the film does make a profit all contributors will be paid a reasonable amount.

Synopsis: A romantic comedy about an awkward youth who goes to extraordinary lengths to attract the attention of the woman he admires.

CG Animated Short - The Gondolier's Dog

The Gondolier's Dog is now about 33% complete with 2/5 characters rigged and being animated.

We now need additional MAYA artists with experience in:

- Character rigging
- Animation
- Texturing / Shader writing/ UV unwrapping

Please note that this is an UNPAID collaborative work so don't order the sports car just yet.

Hey Bobb I am interested in helping out with this short film if you still need help. I am proficient in animation but I have modeled and rigged characters. My only concern in joining is I don't like to do anything that has rude humor, cursing, or any sexual, inappropriate stuff. Other then that I would like to help

One question by signing up on your sight, the latest Maya you can select to say what you're using is 2010 but I am using 2012 if that's not a problem?

Thanks for the offer - see you on the site.

The film is now almost 50% complete (who said animation was a slow business...?); 100% modelled and now being animated and textured. It is intended to be suitable for adults and children so no worries about content.

Maya 2010 or 2012 should be fine. The only potential problem is a rig that works in 2011 and 12 but not in 10 but I am managing that OK at the moment.
