MC Week 12 - Jump Rope - Start 8.22

What to do: Animate a character jumping rope. You can have them crossing over and double jumping and doing all kinds of tricks. Make it interesting
Time: the usual 24 hours
Note: You do not have to worry about a fancy jump rope, be it a rig or dynamics. Just extrude a cylinder along a U shaped spline and you're good to go. Hopefully that doesn't hinder everyone's ability to participate. Against my better judgement we're going ahead with a challenge that has to include a prop of some sort. Because of that this will not count as a week in my ultimatum of "3 participants or more".

If I have time I'll go back and think about the missing details.  Like the leg and the arm.

Please excuse the jump rope, it was very much an afterthought and I only just managed to squeeze it in.

robcat I like yours, it might be interesting to keep him a one-legged man

~ Ditto! If you have 15-20 mins to spare on this, then it be nice if it you can have it start with a loop of a few "normal" jumps before he really gets into it.

Re: MC Week 12 - Jump Rope - Start 8.22

I decided to hop in on this challenge smile  I've never done a jump rope cycle before and figured it'd be a good time to start.  This is about 2-3 hours worth of work, no jope rope added yet, just the jump.

EDIT** WOW forgot to compress the file - try this one on for size..

I did one of the Jason Ryans old tutorials yesterday and this was the result.

Stefan has already rightly pointed out that I need more hang time and more time low down, both of which I will, but I don't want to go over the 24hrs so i'll post this now within the challenge time and work on changes and throw them in the direction of this thread when i'm dones.

(also, thanks to Angelo for a few pointers).
