Potential Upload Issues

This is my first time posting for the monthly animation competition, but I am not sure that my clip was uploaded. Should I get a notice like “file successfully uploaded

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Hey guys

I just uploaded my entry for October but it's gone into the November competition. Is there anyway to change this so it's in the right month? I've just been reading posts about how i should have put in my entry a few days ago but unfortunately I didn't read that last week.

Sorry. This is my first entry into the competition so I'm a bit of a greenhorn.

Thanks
Trav

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Hello, this is my first time entering. When I uploaded my file and viewed it, it wasn't playing the audio, but I followed your instructions and used sorenson3 codec. I tried downloading it from this site and when I played it on my computer, it didn't have any audio. The youtube version has it. Any ideas?

Is it ok if I post the youtube link here in the forums because it has audio? Or should I just leave my submission alone without audio? Ive already submitted final btw.

Be well smile

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Hi Dragoro,

For some reason, our encoder did not see your audio track properly.  Can you try encoding it differently (maybe AAC audio)?  Good luck!

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Hi Bog, just asking if the server automatically overwrites whatever I upload for the month? I tried uploading an FLV version but when I refreshed it still reads as a quicktime file.

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Yes, you can combine your animation file with the sound file. Simply import each file in the bin, drag them in their appropriate time line and then export it out as a .mov.

I love Premiere smile

Re: Potential Upload Issues

If you go to the Archives, under Entries, click on the enter link of 'entries so far', you should be able to see your entry. You can even edit there.

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Hey guys, I'm about to make my first submission here for the club.   I'm currently rendering a pass, but just in case things go wrong I'd like to submit a playblast version in case.   Would I end up doing two entries, or can I edit my submission?
Not sure about all the details...
thanks for any help!

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Instead of making a new thread I'll just say this here.
I've uploaded an entry, then realized it was the wrong aspect ratio.
Everytime I try to upload one with the proper 400x300 size, it doesn't update.  Is it just a bug with the servers right now?

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Did you check to make sure that your movie size is not larger than 5MB ?

Re: Potential Upload Issues

It seems to work now.  I guess it just takes a while for the site to update.  Thanks though!

Re: Potential Upload Issues

Dan,

QuickTime caches the files.  In the future, you can clear your QuickTime cache to see the results of your upload immediately.
