April entry- faulty robot

Hi all
Please feel free to critique my first entry into this competition, I am having a go at 2D first hoping to get onto 3D next time. Anybody know of a decent XSI rig please ?Thanks

Oh, and in my experience every single free XSI rig out there is kind of butt... switch to Maya, man!

Welcome to the competition!  You should enjoy it.  I have.  About your entry, it's okay, but it's a lot like other peoples, and doesn't have a funny twist to it.  Try thinking of a creative gag at the end instead of it just catching on fire.  Also, the robot doesn't look too much like a robot.  Maybe add more robot stuff to it.  Since it's static, you shouldn't have to redraw it much.

I wanted the robot to look more 'cutesey' so the pity factor was there, but it was only a ruff. I agree on the ending totally but it's incomplete so hopefully inspiration will prevail. Thanks again
