Cow Jump

Hi, all, I'm looking for feedback for this shot, I've uploaded it in synchsketch :

The preparatory jump looks rather weightless and and I think it's because he has done nothing to generate the forward motion that he gets.

Somehow the front legs never contact the ground again before the main jump.  They would be essential in pushing the front part of the body back up and into the air.

The pause in the middle of the main jump is unconvincing. I think a more likely "cartoon" treatment of that is to have the peak of the arc happen all the way past the hedge and then to drop nearly straight down. 

Of course, a realistic jump will have no pause at all. It would be a clean ballistic arc from beginning to end.
