Re: Rocket Girls

When she jumps from the first wall to the second, her Trans Y in the air is not right, she would need to go considerably higher then she is now. Also when she makes this jump I would add the similar fast up, slow in air pause and fast down action that you have established. It works great, sorta like a moon walk.

The final landing is just a bit to quick, i would give it 2 or 3 more frames on the down. Get rid of the camera movement or make it a bit smoother, quite distracting. Overall great piece! Oh, also I would add a bit of overlapping action at the very end where she stands up. Right now she come to a really hard stop, especially in her hips and chest. Happy animating!

Re: Rocket Girls

Its better, less of a pop going on between the jumps of the wall, but I would consider bringing her higher. From your camera view it still looks like shes just traveling straight across. without going up after jump. Always consider what it looks like in your camera view first and not what it looks or feels in your perspective view. This only apply's to movie animation of course.

Re: Rocket Girls

wow wow wow... good job!

You can track spacing of the knee, hands to check spacing. There's some spacing issue.. which might help to refine the extreme posing.  Here's some examples.

The cut wise, you might want to position the focus point ,, the spacegirl around the same screen space to smooth out the cut. smile

Oh.. by the way.. the youtube loop to other videos! you are PRODUCTIVE!! Just a small notes... in Baudouin Reel V 001, I saw a familliar shot.. you might have tried to direct reference jason ryan ianimate introduction animation with blurp. It is quite noticeable with the same characters and camera setting.. you might not want to put it on a reel for one it does not look as good as the original. two.. people might misunderstood it.

Re: Rocket Girls

ummm...also... your very first shot in this reel is 100% copied from Andrew Atteberry Showreel - iAnimate.net student. Skip ahead to the 30 second mark to see what I'm talking about.

You really shouldn't be putting these things on your show reel. People work very hard on their own animation pieces so to copy it and say its your own is not right and can give you a bad reputation. Its ok to study peoples work and try to recreate it for your own personal viewing but you should never be placing it on your own reel.

My suggestion is to take anything off of your reel that was taken from other peoples work.

Rico is right.. you should definitely re-look at the content and make sure those "rework" shots is not in your reel.. and if you do want to show them. Credit where the original come from.
