Job Interview

A man without eyes interviews for a job, and the hiring manager is a bit weirded out by it. Feedback is more than welcome on this one, I'm a bit stuck at the moment and I'm not sure how to improve it. Also wondering if anybody is interested in doing scenery and lighting?

Re: Job Interview

Very interesting. I laughed a lot. I liked the timing and everything. But, I didn't think she was very weirded out by anything, seemed to be a normal expression, just my impression.

Re: Job Interview

I love the acting here, and the subtle movements you've got going on.

One thing that might make it even funnier is if the eye holes were a bit more.... disturbing. Instead of just turning the eyes off on the rig, maype put a.... darker, red... fleshy eye socket bit in there? .... The frightening aspect of this I think would make the eye-bag reveal even funnier.

Re: Job Interview

Looks great...

One thing though...when the man was pointing to his eye, I thought he was just pointing to his head not his eye.  I didn't know why until he pulled up his glass eyes in the baggy.  If possible, make the finger pointing to the eye clearer?

Re: Job Interview

Looking really good. I love the small acting choices you made for the female character like the finger tap and head nod at the start as well head scratch while thinking.

A couple of things I noticed:
- the whole thing feels a little too pose-to-pose, try to keep things moving more. I notice this especially with the hands. For example when she says "Can I ask why no, no glass?" her screen right hand stays perfectly still even while her body starts moving.
- his lipsync is off around "they just kept getting dirty so..." he makes the OH mouth shape in "so" too early I think
- it might be funny (or maybe disturbing) if he actually sticks his finger in the socket rather than just point at them
- instead of having him look at the bag at the end (he can't see right?) you could cut to a reaction shot of the woman (you could have the bag out of focus in the foreground to show that she is specifically looking at the bag)

just some thoughts, but overall I really like it

Re: Job Interview

This is great!! Very funny too. One thing that would be funny to add is if you animate the eyes to look back at the guy when he looks at the bag.

Re: Job Interview

I really love your ideal and how you decided to frame everything. I especially love how the male character at the ends seems so satisfied with his decision.

Re: Job Interview

Thank you for the feedback! I have corrected some things like the frozen hands and the woman's expression. I will post an update when I get home tonight.

Re: Job Interview

Well, there was an issue with my submission. Hopefully the update will go through but in the mean time here is the real entry. If anybody comes across my entry and it is broken, hopefully you can vote based on what you see here:

Yeah, so life happens. In General, funny video, sorry that I have Internet speed that I barely have something to look at. Still proxy is always enabled. But thanks for the video!
