Any word on the results?

I assume somebody that usually does this stuff is away at the moment? Never seen the results delayed this long before...

Re: Any word on the results?

Hey, it's my first entry ever so I don't really know how things usually go around here. Maybe it has to do with the fact that there were 290 entries?

Re: Any word on the results?

Nah, there have been more than that before. Typically the results go up anywhere between 3-6pm the day the voting ends. Not sure I've seen it drag on until the following afternoon before.

Yeah, animators are patient. But we spent all of our patience in the competition and we ran out of it. smile

I was pretty curious too! I was waiting for a forum post or something to tell us what was going on. I've never seen it take this long either. Hope to see results soon! Good luck everybody!

Re: Any word on the results?

No, just sometimes it takes a while to be updated. There's every chance the administrator may not be able to et to their desk etc. Yes, its nice to know shortly after the voting closes, and usually it is, but I've seen it happen once or twice more in last five years.

Re: Any word on the results?

this should simply be computerised - there is not reason for it to take this long - it's not like anyone is counting them, must be a system issue. but they need to sort it soon, and the fact you can't contact anyone or there is no communication going on is really poor - i expected more? come on guys people worked hard on this stuff.

Re: Any word on the results?

There is a right to complain - im not saying freak out but people have a right to question what is going on - this is a professional site, we don't pay - but they are paid to run it - we create content for this site which with out it would not exist - and they advertise on the site and generate revenue which is why there is a Virgin ad right below where i am typing -

The site has rules, and it says in the FAQs results are provided on the 5th of each month - THEY have set this expectation. they need to stick to it, or at the very least communicate with the subscribers what is going on. i am happy this site exists. but if it didn't i would still be animating - i would be an animator with or with out this site, this site however would not exist with out the animators creating content, and frequently visiting it.

No one should be going mental giving out or screaming - most people i think are upset that there is not a single communication in regards to the delay - they don't have a support mail, a contact number and no one seems to be monitoring the furum?

I hope they resolve this - i am new to it but i know this is not the norm, however if it was it would be my first and last entry - i am working on my May submission, but it would be nice to know how my April has done - anyway this site is a great place for the animator to come together. hopefully it's resolved shortly

Re: Any word on the results?

Without the above needing to be said, waiting does suck. Animating an 11 second club piece can be pretty exhausting emotionally and there is an expectancy that the results are posted soon after the voting ends. Not doing so can be understandably frustrating and I've been through Kalel6s emotions.

As a moderator on this site, I do not have access to the voting section. But I can say I am proud of its community, to be part of it, and the 11 Second Club would not be the same without this.

I hope the results are posted soon.

Re: Any word on the results?

if you say so.

The results are posted now. Beautiful winning clip. Kalel6, my personal thoughts are that the mechanics could be stronger in your piece, but genuinely enjoyed the ideas. Nice work smile
