August 2012 - Stars, stages... and a squirrel.

Hello everyone,

This is my first shot at the 11 Second Club competition since I began learning animation a few months ago.
Things still to be done: facial animation, rising of the legs and the associated balance tweaking, squirrel animation and overall polishing.
Thank you for your critiques!

Productive!

I really like the change in composition you've got in this new version, but the camera seems a little wonky. It needs to be smoother, with less speed changes, I think. One nice, simple arc that begins quicker and ends slower should work.

Good luck with it!

Very nice poses, Nice camera work.....but there are just too many loud gestures....if u remove some some unwanted gestures and keep subtle acting it will help!! the Acting of the character is not getting suited with the Dialouge which is slow and subtle!! also the hands and fingers are flat at some points like in the end...!! Keep it up!! gr8 work!!

i totaly agree with the post above mine. a lot of big movements there. its all in the subleties with a clip like this one. at the beginning pointing to himself is unnecessary. he is speaking about himself so you don't have to indicate it with the hand as well. you repeat a lot of info this way throughout the clip. just something to keep in mind for next time :-P great animation btw. would never guess you are new at this :-)

i will sleep when i'm dead :-P
