(I don't think the first fist slam to the table is needed?)

Good start, but now you animation looks like liquid flow, you should make more pauses, much more pauses i mean)))

I feel that the exaggeration is a bit too much...expressions are good...good luck

Right after the line "... pretending like you're tough" the left character slams his fist on the 'table' (don't know what to call it
) It might give greater emphasis if he should hit it right on the word 'tough'.

It's true, better and better everytime.
Have you tried to land his face before his hand? I wondering if it get more impact, if the character push with both hands to smash his face on the window? Just an idea.
nice job

I like this one, its a cool idea. The animation itself seems to get floaty though after the 3 second mark

better and better, but first - you still need more pauses, after each part of the dialogue, even you can make "dead" pauses and after make overlap! Second, you need increase character movement speed, make it harder, but don't forget make slow in - slow out.

Re: May2012 competition. Work in progress...
Hello,
My first comment would be that orange characters movements, beats looks a bit too even. All the way up to 4th sec, only a bit of a difference with arms in the middle of that.
There could be a bit more time variation in arms movement, speeding up and down.
And body seems to be on same beat even more.
Try to break up hitting poses and in times it seems like.. too smooth and even movement. Would be easier if it is in quicktime format to follow exact frames and give more precise description of what I'm thinking but let me know if I need to be more clear ![]()
Keep up and have fun!

Re: May2012 competition. Work in progress...
The fellow talking is excellent...the one listening seems slow and sluggish still. I think he should be nodding in agreement almost from the beginning (if he really is agreeing with the speaker) or if the listener is tired of hearing his friend beat a dead horse, it should reflect something else...like boredom.
The listener is all about emotion through reaction....the speaker is all about emotion through words.
Martyn's Quote "If every endeavor was ignored because someone had already done something similar the world would be a boring place. I think there's enough wonderfully talented people on this site to make this happen, and if they want to help, then i'm all for it, it can't hurt to try, can it?"

Re: May2012 competition. Work in progress...
It seems to be little floaty....
i don know exactly which frame but when he closes his right fist, u can see that it gets snapped within a single frame......
Nice work....
Animation is about creating the illusion of life. And you can't create it if you don't have one.
