It's free, just like malcolm, but you have to accept the user agreements that are stated when creating your download account at Animschool.
Just follow the instruction on the site. It's fairly easy.

Doesnt open on 2009 Even with ignore version it explodes. Oh well.

I have downloaded the malcolm rigs..both male and female...the picker only works for malcolm man as far as I can see. Is there a simple way to hide the various controls, on the female one, for a more streamlined work flow?
It`s a bit busy otherwise. Thanks in advance to my dumb question, my heads gone numb in the cold!!

the picker would work with the female too. just replace the "malcolm" from the picker name to "femaleMalcolm".

i guess it would be femaleMalcolm:MainPicker or something. the picker also has the option to toggle between basic or most of the control vissibility

That works now, thanks a bunch bharatnag!
Only thing now is my pc keeps crashing when I open the rig....my pc is fine, it runs malcolm man very smooth and every other rig and scene I have. Does anybody else have this issue?

Hey guys! Credit ... and responsibility... go to the author of the mod. I'm sorry about the Maya2011 thing. All our rigs are 2009, but again, this is a user-made mod and we don't control or support it.

We load it up and make sure it "works" but after that it's up to the author. If he makes any updates, we'll post them right away.

Thank you Dave, there is something that my computer does not like about the file. Its not my PC as it runs the original beautifully. Thanks again for this wonderful resource. Hopefully I can get the money together soon, to invest in the schools lessons.

this file is having some problem with maya 2011...
maya 2012 is the best for this..

im having a weird issue with the Female Malcolm Mod, where the head and the top of her hair does not show when i try to render it. I've tried all the "easy" fixes, like adding a new material to it/putting it into maya software instead of mental ray etc. but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else seen this issue and knows how to fix it?

Nearly always this problem stems from the geometry in question is not set to primary visibility in the mesh's render stats.
To change that, select the mesh in question, fire up the attribute editor and open the render stats section. there, check all unchecked boxes, and the render problems should be gone
