Joseph K. Garrahan:
interesting, but a bit erratic.
Daniel Huertas:
check your tweening on the first hand hestures..
David Alvarez:
I really like this piece. The body movements are really convincing.
The mouth animation is the weakest part in my opinion. Too smooth in my opinion.
Ryan Magill:
great job! ive watched 30 anms. this is the first one that fits the voice. It is actualy alot like the one I was doing but I didn't finish it to enter.
Debra Wootton:
Great acting - you can see the emotion in this basic character
Aaron Clement:
Okay, too much movement. I like the arm fold at the end.... Staging isn't too bad... character is maybe too far from camera.
Traci Plagmann:
I really like the touching of the paper - very nice. My only suggestion is to try to stay away from the twinning in the arms in a couple of places.
Steve Clarke:
I like this a lot. The gestures are great and original for the most part. Some of the hand moves are a little off in the way it swings like an object, but only a minor critique to an overall great animation.
Tony Rivera:
good shamefull look he has that really sells but other parts of the acting was not as strong...think it was to many poses...
Josh Doohen:
good job on the animation. killer interaction with object and viewer. I'm not sure the fingers jiggling are effective, since the model looks more robotic than organic.
Eddie Chew:
fingers are a bit floppy in the middle but other than that its great
W Jacob Gardner:
Too much overlap on the fingers during "Help".
But nice secondary motion of adjusting the paper near the end.
kienwei80:
Not bad.
Kirthy Iyer:
Has some good poses, nice shifts but I think the secondary on hands look to rubbery. Watch out for that next time. :) Also, if there is a possibility to make the pupils bigger, do it because it's very hard to read the eyes with the tiny black dot. Keep on animating ;)
Michael Cawood:
Ive worked with this rig so I know the problems youve faced and Im really impressed with this piece despite the overly large hands and e-flawed mouth. The hands make it too tempting to put over-lapping action into the finger tips so thats perhaps a little off the mark. But the poses are really strong with a sense of humanness about their restraint and the timing is really good. Im impressed.
David Artura:
I think you're trying to do too much with this shot. It looks like you're trying to hit every beat of the dialogue. A clip this short needs only a few poses. Too many and it gets too confusing and the transitions become too hurried.
Noshin:
gooooooood
David Bokser:
The acting is really nice. I think a few poses are too exaggerated.
Dan Dulberger:
He slams down on the table abit too hard, no? Otherwise pretty good.
Mariya Kalachova:
Wow really great animation! you are amazing.. especially the end, really natural.
Seth Taylor:
Wow there is a whole lot os complex movement in this on but I have to say my favorite is his rearranging the paper at the end.
Ciaran:
wild stuff :D There's a tendency in a lot of the videos on this site, to give a gesture to every second word. I don't think this one is that guilty but I would suggest emphasising (holding) good poses (like the folded arms at the end) and take it easy a bit. I know the dialogue is excited but there's some stuff in there I'd personally leave out..like toning down the big arm gesture at f57 and skipping that forehead rub at f189. The eyes and head though are really good.
Emmanuel Vergne:
i really like the end when he crosses his arms
peter wassink:
lovely work.
in this months large and strong field, this one is the winner for me.
Tara Utke:
The movements look really good, but there's no sound.....so I'm not sure
chica:
i think the acting is really good .also mayb the follow thru on finger cud b reduced alil bit wen he says '....if i cud help him.....'
Francisco:
Good!
Cole Higgins:
I think it would do very well to go back through it and flesh out some clear thought poses. Like take one and ask a friend, "Hey what is this character thinking in this pose." if he says something different then what you are going for may be you can improve it.
