Description: This is my first try at the eleven second club. I wish I spent more time planning and adding breakdown poses during the blocking phase, but i'm almost happy with what i got.
Thanks to my friend Othman at work who helped me with the render ;)

Daryl Marples:

Very nice!

Matt Kenley:

its over acted a tad, tone it down

John Erickson:

Great job! I like how his whole body is included in the poses. I think a bit more could have been done with the 'I thought' part. 'Thought' is more pronounced and drawn out in the dialougue that maybe if you did a stronger pose on the beginning of 'thought' and pulled it back gradually toward the end of the word. could maybe make it a bit better. And a bit of movement on the left hand during 'this girl that he loves' portion. seems a bit stiff. Just trying to give you something to use. Great piece though. I like it.

Peter Segers:

Great animation I like it.
Good strong poses and nice breakdowns.
1 critique is that you sometimes feel the poses too strong.

Good luck,

- Peter -

Andy Anderson:

good stuff. I dont like the way his hand is when he points but thats personal preference I guess. Nice work

Eric Huang:

Not bad, I like some of the snappiness :).. I just don't like the pointing pose.

Andy van Straten:

love the hold right before 'help.' great timing.

Chris Welsby:

great work, some really nice poses. The shifting of weight from foot to foot really helps loosen him up.

Aidan Martin:

this is really fantastic, my only crit would be that the eye line is a little distracting because it feels a little dead. Otherwise perfect :)

Aaron Clement:

Not sincere enough. The actions were too broad... like he was in broadway or something. Nicely lit... and well staged... just lacked the subtlety.

Ryan Magill:

very nice. I did notice a little bit of ik static on the left arm around frames 160-170. Looks great though, very nice movements!

kEViN:

You did a great job at hitting some big poses but totally left out all the subtleties. I mostly noticed it in the fingers, which feel pretty stiff, and also in the head. I think some subtle head moves to accent the energy in the dialog would help sell this for me.

Ann-Marie Denham:

This is quite lovely. Only thing I don't like is the pointing gesture.

Mariya Kalachova:

Really good. I think the one thing I could say that would be constructive is maybe change his mouth expression to match his pose and eyes, otherwise it's a bit distracting that he's always smiling. Nice one mate!

Steve Clarke:

Very impressive. I liked this a lot.Great timing and gestures. Some of it seemed a little wooden but that would be a small effort to correct.Overall one of my favourites.

Josh Doohen:

something different than the majority. strong poses! i likes!

Alonso Soriano:

135 little spinny hand for "thinking" of girl that he loves, too soon/too much makes it feel like a performance instead of a spontaneous gesture

kienwei80:

Good acting.

Irfan Ahmed:

nice one.i like the sniff .but over all good animation and body language.

Tomas Ortiz:

Good use of emphasis with your characters arms.

david arthur:

some lovely actions in here, nice and snappy, the mouth is the only thing i can see that needs work :)

David Artura:

I think you're trying to do too much with this shot. It looks like you're trying to hit every beat of the dialogue. A clip this short needs only a few poses. Too many and it gets too confusing.

Damian Isherwood:

Really nice job, good follow through and pose transition.

Seth Taylor:

Whoa! This rocks, glad i watched through 40 or so to get to this one it si sharp, claer and well acted. Super movement. Just wow tell me you are an animation mentor grad

Nate Dorn:

maybe try to get more emotion out of the the face. Body seems like it might be a bit over animated till the end.
I like the lighting and the you know sniff part. good job

Ben Hammersley:

Nice timing and poses. The hand point on frame 105 and the circular motion of the point from frame 107 - 121, didn't seem like ít was appropriate for the emotion in the characters voice. I really like the ending facial expression, really hits the mark in terms of expressing the strong emotion and then subtly relaxes into a less extreme but still quite worried facial pose.
Great Work.

Roger Feron:

Nice work. I really liked how you kept a little bit of movement in his body all the time, just subtly. The only issue for me is how he snaps into different poses - more ease in/out would have really helped.

David Bokser:

the polish is really nice, but it's too pose to pose. Try and hide your keys

Brad Jacobson:

Love the different pacing of poses you have.

plu:

nice one dude!!!

for my taste this is a bit over acted.
humans are lazy, they don t move so much without a reason....find a few strong poses and work with them.

Giovanni:

He looks and move soooo much like mr.Berlusconi in Italy!
Great!

Derek Mabson:

Nice poses especially in the hands. Good animation overall.

Meaghan Arbital:

I like the subtlety of the movements, he really 'emotes'.

Paul Borawski Jr.:

I think on the animation side this is pretty good, but it's very unbelievable because it hits too many poses. Not many people talk like that and I didn't get sold on it here. Also what stopped this from being great was the lip sync seemed to stiff in the mouth shapes.

Nanda van Dijk:

i love his directness. nice poses. the only thing i think is a bit off is when he go's to the pose when he says 'this girl that he loves' that looks a bit strange. nice animation :D

William Matthew Robertson:

Nice snappy timing! The only thing I have to comment on is the hand pose around "get him this... this girl that he loves". Maybe use a different pose before the gesture on the word "girl". Other than that, this is great!
