Taran Matharu:

i love the idea of this one...cinematography is well thought out too.....nice animation, but lcould push more on the emotional side when he is talking,......but i really like this one...

Alan Camilo:

It is the best animation this month in my opinion, although people may punish you for using so much extra time... congratulations anyway!

eejun:

Hahaha. This is great! Entertaining! And what a way to show the dialogue.

Steve C:

I really like this piece! It's great how you set it up so it's almost like a reality show with the interview at the end of it. The animation itself is really great, you might want to work a bit on your lip sync but besides that, it reads really well. The acting is really nice and subtle and suits the dialogue quite well. Great work!

James Wilson:

cool idea. it feels like you spent more time on the 1st bit. then the close up on the dialog at end doesnt feel as strong.

it made me laugh ;)

Carlos Fins:

Should have done a cross fade when the dialogue starts in order to show the lapse of time. Probably didn't need all that in the beginning, but it was good work.

Justin Lashley:

I like the "reality show" look you've got going on. The camera work is spot on. I wish the animation and the acting was a little more thought out. His spine seems too stiff when he is talking, and the hands could have used some variation rather then being clasped the whole time.

Tim W:

Wow! I had to watch this one several times.

Tony Mecca:

Really love the idea!

Arek Firlit:

this is whole story, man, good stuff

Alex Fundora:

This is certainly some animation at its finest, though, what happened to the 2-second rule =] Love the camera work and staging, and the animation was superb aswell. I do think the talking off camera was a half second or so too long, perhaps. ^_^

Nate Lane:

haha awesome man. well done, definitely one of the best I've watched so far. I really like how the director (of the "arts") grabs tears the paper in a stereotypical feminine way. Well done

Rory:

very excellent. facial animation is fantastic. only critique is that you get to the 'second' part too late to see enough of the subject audio being spoken. Altogether the animation is really great though.

Brad Regier:

That was funny! I love it.

Gregory Marlow:

Very funny take on it. Reminds me of "A mighty Wind"

Taber Dunipace:

Yes, yes, yes! Awesome. Very funny, well done acting, setup is very clear. Great stuff!

vince gorman:

nice ending pose

Tommy:

I like the short story that yours has, nice work

Ryan Lowe:

what a very weird way to go about this clip but impressive none the less. for the animation thats there its sharp. kudos.

BrunoDestefani:

The whole silent intro is unnecessary. The line already says it...you didn't need to show.
But the lipsync and the face expression are good

Nino:

That director is sweet!

Marco Palmieri:

very good motion. but maybe added too much at the beginning for it to be judged overall.

Alec Sinanoski:

it was great :D Maybe choose more... mozart-ish characters. Because thats really where it takes place. BUT theres no rules as to what or where your animation takes place so great job!

Lianna Scrimger:

very nice and good job on all the extra animation and effort. Reminds me of spinal tap XD

Jason Smith:

AWESOME!! This one gets my 11 for the month! Great job, it totally reminds me of Christopher Guest's 'This is Spinal Tap'... if you haven't seen it, check it out. Nice work!

Louis Ng:

Wow, i really like how you packaged this story into a reality show interview with a rock star. Really cool and creative. Brillant!

The jump at the beginning makes him appear a bit light though.

danni abram:

Love it! very funny, I even dont mind the fact that you decided not to include the full lip synced animation. You can clearly animate! I love his face, and the camera movements, altogether its my favourite so far

Phil Duncan:

I loved this! A bit too long for the audio to kick in, although i liked it, i think i would love to have seen what you could have done with him talking the whole dialogue to camera. Love stuff though!

Gideon Caspi:

I like the idea, kinda reminds me of The Office in style of editing but maybe should have seen the character saying the whole phrase as it helps reveal his frustration. Great stuff though!

Scott Douglas:

Great stuff! My only very minor crit would be that it felt like you should have cut away to the dialogue a bit sooner. Other than that, I have to say that I really enjoyed watching this a few times over.

Trevor Smalldon:

Good Lipsync.

rushang:

really good ... thoughts ..... u can near at appeal..... thanks for inspiration

Romain Digonnet:

Very nice.
But I don't think you're supposed to add so much blank at the beginning of the audio clip... It's the 11second club :P

Justin Weg:

What a clever way to animate this!!

Guilherme Trog:

HAHAHAHA That is amazing!

Paul Robbins:

Oh, man. Very nice. This is Spinal Tap. I dig the Christopher Guest style. At first I thought you didn't get to the lip sync in time but then you cut to the interview. Sweet.

Yahya:

this is one of the best I've seen

Traci Plagmann:

Wow you added a lot onto the beginning. Very ambitious! I really like the camera move when it zooms in - that's very natural for a handycam kind of feel when something dramatic is going to happen. I also like how he started talking and then cut. I think you could have cut a little sooner though. Maybe right after "it's unbelievable."

Anandaroop Mukherjee:

great man u may attempt to be more aggressive on ur posing next time have more variations and better timing

Jeranimo:

Awesome!!!!

Erik Westlund:

Wow. Looks to be way outside the 2 second rule. Hummm.... must have done a good job with file compression.

Nice documentary style camera work. Good character movement with weight. Clear posing and staging with good contrast in speed between actions. Holding up music before rip is very strong. Shocked expression is bland and seems to drift by comparison. Excellent, subtle lip-sync animation at the end. Excellent performance.

Maya K:

Love the cutting and camera work.

Tom Law:

The mockumentary style is spot on. This is hilarious, well done.

doc:

is that " kiss" ?

rusty:

everything looks great and i really like the setup with the whole mockumentary thing.

prashant rawal:

nice facial expressions

Barnabas Boehler:

Hey Great job on this one!

I think perhaps you could cut sooner to the dialogue..but I'm really diggin' this otherwise...I like the unique character rig especially!

Jean-Luc Delhougne:

Wow a lot of work has been done here ;)

I like the documentary style and the first part is really well done. I would begin a bit sooner with the closeup of the guy speaking; and maybe put more effort on his hands gestures ;)

Anyway, nice animation !

Rene:

THIS IS JUST AMAZING!!!
I love the concept! I love the idea! I love the use of the dialogue! It's not just a guy talking about his music. It's a guy REACTING to what just HAPPENED to his music. You make it into a little story. I now want to know what happens next. The camera work is just great! It feels like it is being shot for TV or a documentary. GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! 11 STARS!!

Nick Knudson:

Clever! Good acting. Very honest.

Darrin Hofmeyr:

Always good to see a bit of thinking outside the box. Good documentary feel. Nice camera work ;)

Thomas Grummt:

not sure if adding animation before/after the clip is ok but i like the animation a lot! quite fluid and polished, as well as clear.

Omri Navot:

Great work! Nice variation from the standard here. I love your documentary style camera move.

Brian Boswell:

The lead-in is a little long, but the payoff is worth it. Great job.

Daniel Harris:

Very cool indeed, this one is my favourite :-).

The only thing that really threw me was when the narration kicked in, it made sense to me the second time, but watching it the first time through really confused me. Perhaps if it didn't overlap so much? Just a second or two?

If I had to make a suggestion for the animation, it would be to try and give more weight to the director as he moves in. There's little twist/counterbalance in the body when he walks in, and he should have a bit more weight forward in the direction he's travelling, especially up the stairs.

Fantastic appealing idea though, and I love your camera work :-)

Paulo Clayton:

Nice take on "reality shows." Very humorous.
