HAHAHA, I love this idea!
Matt Hirengen:
I like the lamp animation the most. the Dad could use some of that overlapping action.
colus havenga:
the pencil and lamp is distracting from the fathers acting.. maybe if the objects was levitating closer to the father it would of worked better.
Erik Griott:
i think the actions of the characters are kind of overlapping each other. i was confused at the beginning; i thought the father was making the pencil levitate.
Srujith kumar Ogirala:
concept is good. lipsync is not required for the second character. you need to work on animation
Daniel Erwin:
the kid steals the show... i feel like if it was staged differently (not so straight on and flat) you could got away with cutting away from the father character.
Florent Perrin:
Cool staging!! Little lack of polishing and stifness...
mateus pereira:
hehehehe, great idea
Martin Silfvast:
good effort!
Barnabas Boehler:
Interesting..that lamp looks strangely familiar.
Cool work on animating the props. I would get rid of the "pat on the back" --I think it doesn't really work in this setup. He looks like he's going to grab something or knock the pencil out of the air
Ryan Shannon:
ooohhhh. no pixar lamp please!
:)
Kevin Gittens:
It seems a bit pretentious to be moving that desk lamp, because it looks so much like the Pixar Luxo Jr. short. Maybe it was supposed to be a tribute to Pixar, but I saw it as a "Pixar hire me" kind of thing.
Brad Regier:
Fun concept! I love the story you're telling here.
I was confused at first because the father moves his hand over just when the pencil comes up. Dad should sit still long enough for us to understand what the kid is doing. A general rule is to remember what/who we're supposed to be looking at and when, & try not to distract with too much movement elsewhere.
Nathan Buchanan:
Nice nod to luxo... :) Good characters. It felt like the eyes were sluggish, and some of the movement was labored, like the slap on the back.
Chad Swanson:
The animation on the boy seems good and it draws your eye. However the acting choices could have been a bit stronger on the dad.
Ashwani:
good
picasso:
nice.......he surely have some gift......just that the pencil shuld have been lifted a bit earlier than the dialogue begins
