Nice 1st couple of hand movements. Maybe the 3rd & 4th are a little too symmetrical(?)

C. J. Cow:

this is great! i hope to see you finish it!

Forrest:

very nicely done. I'd love to see it a bit more finished and pulled together. perhaps less focus on some color and backgrounds here or there and more on getting the overall quality evened out.

Matt Hirengen:

unfinished, but good acting and idea!

Nick Kondo:

I like the idea!

Daniel Morgan Walsh:

The first half was blowing my mind away it was so good.

natalie:

a bit confusing. And not finished yet

Shon Stewart:

like the cop the best! Neat Idea! Looks like you drew over a 3d animation for the main character! interesting. Is that what you did?

Daniel Erwin:

the staging is flat on the third and the last shot. i think the first shot could be worked on as well... the perspective doesnt seem to be right with his hand so high in the screen, the car so high in the screen and how low the officer is... but i like the animation you've done on the first shot and especially the second.

John Sung:

WooHoo!!

Martin Silfvast:

I like it. I would like to see it more finished.

luv2animate:

Lovely!!

Josh HP:

Cool idea fir the kids "gift" and i really like the hand posing for the speaking character in his first shot. Between frames 270-370 in the longer shot he seems to be more just pose to pose and may just be kinda unfinished and rough. i think it would be worth putting in the effort to finish it up. nice entry!

rajeshk:

father shud start reacting from from 88/89 . why he took 10 frame long pause, and started talking on frame 100 , i feel that breaks the scene flow..

rest look very nice.. great job..

David Jonson:

keep working ~you will be better

barak drori:

nothing like classic animation, rock on

Barnabas Boehler:

Hey JOHN!

Glad to see you got this almost finished and weer able to enter it. One of my favorite pieces for sure, but i do have a couple of suggetions.

1. I'm not sure what the officer is doing at the beginning or more importantly, why. I think it would be better if he looked more serious and confrontational. (Like writing a ticket. or angrily folding his arms). right now he seems to casual as he's twiddling his fingers and adjusting his hat.

And in the second scene he's holding a pen? Then looking his feet? Then leaning on his car and admiring the kid's art? I feel the mood isn't quite right and if the dad it doesnt' make sense for the dad to be so defensive if they're not in trouble for spraying graffiti.

Otherwise, I love the style and animation overall, just work on finishing it and you'll have a great reel shot.

KristiC:

Although I like the cop at the start, it does nothing as an establishing shot.

Matthieu Delaere:

Great one! Smooth acting, good gestures. And nice angles. Love it!

Aron Durkin:

i get the feeling that if this were finished it'd be brilliant, the gestures that start him off are g reat

Steve Schultz:

I like the style a lot but it could of been a little more finished.

Brad Regier:

I like the kid character; very appealing.
The payoff came way too late; i'd rather see what's happening right off the bat rather than wait for a "ha ha." Just an opinion.
Fun entry!

Frank G:

Nice 'cast out' to the son. I like the acting on 'anything'. It wasn't clear that the first character was a policeman until later in the sequence. It may have been good to have the policeman's silouhette on the side of screen with the cut to the main talking character? Everyone is a bit too relaxed with the son still painting at the end (but then again it is a Californian police officer). Nice work. Gave it more stars than my own animation.

James Fearn-Wannan:

There are some great arcs going on there.
