Matt Hirengen:
Fantastic acting! Great subtlety and timing. Good job!
Felipe Castanhari:
Great animation
Good moves, overlap works, also the lipsync.
Just look at your silhouette, maybe this camera injure your animation.
I Also miss some person to interact with the chart
But great Animation
Ed. Hull:
Very nice! Lip sync needs a little bit more refining.
Corey McDaniel:
great!
Jeremy Schichtel:
yeaaah, nice subtle stuff
Curtis:
Great acting choices. Original! I like the fact that you stayed away from any obvious gags, and went purely for mood. Great piece. My only comment is his right hand feels a little jittery at times. around frame 73 both hands lock up and freeze a little more cushion and settle would loosen those hands up a little. Great Job!
Paul Davis:
Very good facial expressions, arcs, and all over animation.
Daniel Morgan Walsh:
This was incredible. The lip sync was perfect. The body language nicely timed. Well done.
Paul Fuller:
Really great, its hard to find something to even crit. I think you did a good job of showing some internal thinking and you didn't go overboard with any of the actions. Great job again.
Joey Gates:
I love this! terrific acting. =)
Barnabas Boehler:
Wow Jeff, I don't know what to say. This really sucks... ; )
Just kiddin' of course,
2 suggestions for you here.
1. The hand/fingers could have a little variation on the first pose. Perhaps bending a finger or two ever so slightly and offsetting the hands just a tiny bit (so you can see the fingers of the other hand)
2. The fingers could use overlap as they come down...and break up the speed a little for the times they hit the final pose. Just a subtle thing that could help with polish.(F60-65)
Kim Allen:
really enjoyed this. Great subtleties with the action of the hands and the timing of the breaths. The body posing works well I think too. Great work.
Shon Stewart:
Nice subtle animations. Lots of good stuff in there. This is one of my favorite ones!
That hand gesture at the beginning feels so good! I can really feel that his hands are pressed against each other and resting against his chin! so good!
I like everything up to maybe. I think you could find a better acting choice there. It feels less believable than the rest of the animation.
also... overall the characters movement feels like he's lazy, and very relaxed, But the audio feels to me like he's very tense and emotional. so there is a disconnect for me there.
Ryan Fernan:
I so wish people would learn how to line up their audio better. This would be an awesome piece if the audio was on target. Right now. your audio is coming like 2 or 3 frames too early. Anyways, your acting choices are superb which I notice is very common in AM students. The motion is nice and subtle and very well done.
V_I_C_K_Y:
Love The Eyebrowz..!
Daniel Erwin:
great subtle animation... love the performance... when i first saw it, i immediately thought of an animation mentor piece of a girl version of this character on the couch staged the exact same way.
Kayum:
Nice solid animation here, good work on the facial poses and keeping the whole thing subtle. It would be nice to see stronger staging, as the scene at the moment is quite vanilla. Maybe you see who he is talking to, or why the dad thinks the son is so great? Look for a comedy accent that changes the scene from an acting piece into a fun setup and release.
Raasi N:
I like the animation, very nice posing and timing.Looks very convining in emotions as well.
Suggestion - You can maybe add some mustache or beard to make him look more fatherly coz right now he looks more like a son unless we hear the dialogue /see his performance
Nate Moody:
Good lip sync. I really like the expressions and body language. It looks very real: I think this needs to be pushed to a slight exaggeration at some point. The first section, "my son has a gift" is probably the weakest, as he lacks the expressiveness that you would imagine of a person talking about his son. Timing works really well. I like his poses, they are dynamic enough to make it work. The only thing I would say is that he needs to probably move more on the couch. He seems to firmly planted to be indignant. Seems more of a situation to get up afterward... But this is excellent.
chakravarma:
at frame 242 the lip is too wide and i think that is not a need at that time..
alessandro ciucci:
Great work!! indeed.
Martin Silfvast:
nice animation!
Mark Homoky:
Nice and expressive. Very simple setting but it works well. Well animated, spine, legs, hips and of course facial movement all seems to blend well and work.
Well done.
Ace:
nice subtle animation
Cameron Huber:
I like this one! Simple and effective without trying to do too much at once. I think the only thing that really stood out as an "issue" was the left hand resting on the leg while he's leaning to screen left. It looks really broken and is a bit of an eye sore. Other than that everything is feeling nice and strong!
Watching the clip again I think you have an opportunity to push the poses he makes when he says "my son has a gift". Prior to this pose you have him sitting there fairly calm thinking to himself, and when he reaches this point in the clip where he starts to raise his voice and become more stern... he does another calm movement. It doesn't fit well and I think you can push it even more.
Nice work though man! Keep pushing!
Rick Benz:
great job, could use a little more on setting a scene, but as far as the facial, torso, and suttle movements you did great
Andy Hass:
I like your mouth shapes. I think the eyes could be saying a lot more in the second half. They don't quite seem to fit with the dialog.
Brad Regier:
Really nice!
I felt at "My son has a gift" that that is a turning point in the line that could use more emphasis, have him look up or over quickly like he's just making a new point in his argument. As it is, it feels too much the same as what preceded it. Just my opinion.
Good job!
rajeshk:
like the clean poses .. great ..one can clearly read the animation..
John Vielee:
Animation is really good, but staging could use a boost
Brad Bradbury:
SuperAwesome!! Nice subtle work!!
Traci Plagmann:
Great job with this - I can really tell what he's feeling here. Really nice job on the breath in. I also love the hand gesture on 'acknowledge'. Well done!!!
Chad Swanson:
Great animation!
