Mark Bogdanoff:
I really like the idea behind this one.
Rich Lauzon:
It's a shame that we don't get to see the main dialogue... Even an over the shoulder type shot. Rolling of the eyes was funny though.
P Walters:
Something about this feels like claymation. Maybe it's a style thing. I like the simplicity of it. Nice.
Erik Griott:
i think the actions happen too slowly, and what he is doing doesnt seem to be important to what hes hearing. i dont think it fits. unless its just not clear enough what he is thinking or feeling, in which case the problem would be clarity.
Jett Atwood:
Um...well, the acting is pretty good on this guy but aren't we supposed to be assessing the ability to animate a lipsync?
Virgil Mihailescu:
I think it should have been slightly the other way around... :D the guy saying 'all done' is in fact the guy cutting the letter. that's, I think, the normal version - but I've seen a lot of twists on that already. and almost all of them work more or less well... until the 'all done' at the end, where the logic goes shboooooom :D
Matt Garward:
An interesting take... some good reactions though I feel like they could be a bit bigger. He's a bit stiff... try to get a bit more overlap and looseness in the arms, especially 95-135. He freezes around f25 and comes to a complete stop, but it happens before the off-screen voice says "wait" so it feels weird. Maybe he should keep moving until he's registered the "wait!" and then freezes, but even then I think there should be some kinds of small movement. Nice work though, and an interesting take on the audio.
Laban:
easy route not focusing on the dude with dialouge
Missy Feaster:
Needs a lot more weight, more specific timing.
Theo Edmands:
Good acting choices. You'd probably want to at least show some of the other character, like the back of his head perhaps. Right now it just looks like you were trying to save time.
Salvador García Luque:
I think, you made a very short effort animating. Almost all the dialogue is made from a character out of the camera.
Eric Scheur:
Hey there! I really like that you've decided to animate the character who is _not_ talking the whole time... it gives you some really nice opportunities to animate subtle reactions, and you have some great choices in there!
I think you could remove one or two poses and have a bit of a stronger piece... for example, I think you could remain in your first pose (which I really like!) until frame 75 or so. It would give you a lot of time to look at the character's face during that moment, and provide a nice contrast to the next pose where ne drops his shoulders.
I also love the wide-eyed pose at 194... as if the character is saying "Oooooh, Ethical Implications! That's reeealllly scarrrry. Watch how scared I am of ethical implications...." :) I think you could really hold that face a lot longer, because it really sells his attitude and right now it's not onscreen for very long.
After that, I think that it's largely about polish and making sure that the body is moving naturally... You show really good instincts for comedic acting and posing. Get that working with better pacing and body mechanics, and you'll have some really kick-ass stuff!
Taber Dunipace:
This is a bit too simplistic to successfully communicate what's going on in the audio, especially since the primary burden of acting is on the off-screen character here. A large portion of the story is missing from this animation.
Christopher Lutz:
Quite Ok. Body movements in the middle part are less convincing.
Bilal Ahmad:
i think, you should've added the 2nd character
Alison K. Sanders:
Hey, good animation, but I didn't really read the characters espression when he's making the decision to cut the envelope open. I think you need to really feel the internal dialogue then.
Gregory Marlow:
I like this take on it. Good call!
Victor Wong:
Very good acting, or rather reacting. Appropriate facial expressions and actions.
Aaron Clement:
The ending could be better... it's like he's handing off controle of the situation by passing the envelope like that... when the subtext was the oposite in the first half. You need to spend more time on your polish. There's little or no overlap to this. Good staging... and good how you've limited his movement.
Roshan.k:
good effort..but too many unwanted body movements and floating things in there and timing is even for most of the movements i can see.. nice poses btw.
David Shum:
The acting is good :P
facial animation could be pushed alot harder!
Olivier Ladeuix:
a bit floaty. try to get stronger body gestures to create a bit more texture.
Carlos Fins:
Good focus on one character. I think he freezes on the hold before he cuts.. I would have kept him moving just a wee bit, and maybe anticipated the cut by him opening the scissors a bit more.
Mike Courtney:
Some side to side movement on the hips would be good. Show some adjustment in his weight. "We" could be better on the lip-sync. Good reactions.
Max Herzfeld:
Nice work.
Just, perhaps this guy could take more time comeing down after "Wait" Look back at the other person before deciding to bring arms down.
Keep up the good work
Christiaan Moleman:
I like the "oh please" gesture. But try moving the hips around and shifting the weight a bit more...

Animator: Alex Jevon
Description: I animated to the target character of the audio rather than the main speaker. This is so I could practice non-speaking facial animation and generally have a go at the acting side of things again.
Experience: A few years animation experience, but only a couple professionally.
Time taken: 16 hours
