Lovin the 2d! I like this one. I was also thinking of doing a animation with fish for this months clip.
I think that its a little "poppy" around frame 108 - 115
some parts need some polishing and some more subtle frames drawn in but I like what you have so far.
Great Work!
Andrew Linke:
Great drawings, and animation very "fluid"
Julianne McCartney:
Good animation but I wasn't always sure where to focus.
Tomas Jech:
Very well done. Great characters... The ending is a little unclear. Maybe having a character bumping into glass? Just a thought...
Taber Dunipace:
NICE! I love the character interactions and acting choices. I do take issue with the framing a bit. The big guy during is entertaining reaction to being hit almost exits frame. That made me uncomfortable.
Joe Garhan:
very nice
Josh Doohen:
love the slap! good drawings and timing
Tyson Ibele:
One of the better ones I've seen so far!
Brad Regier:
Very nice character work!
Maybe if we saw the tank first ... and then show the fish closer-up, and they reach the corner at the end..? The joke might work better if we can think about the fact that they're in a tank all the way through the clip....?
Elisa:
nice!
a complete story and nice reactions. The slap on the face is a great addition!
And extra star for the 2D ^^
Raphaela Gurgel:
Boa idéia, bem fluÃdo!
Emmanuel:
Very good animation!
Justin Weg:
Nice 2d work
Elliott Gibson II:
I love 2d pencil test! nice start!
Levi:
Nice
Emmanuel Vergne:
Nice
it don't really like the shape of the mouth on the "Oh !" of "Oh ! i got that". I think it should rather be like a "o" shape.
2D power ! :)
Ümit Dönmez:
hahaha...really nice, but could be improved
Frank G:
Is someone applying for a job at a major feature producing studio? Or maybe already working at one.
I liked this a lot. In my top 10. I would have like to see the characters represented somehow in the end still frame. And that still frame, in itself, is a good technique for this competition.
The off set animation of the fish sweeping and arcing across the screen was very appealing.
Jerome Heuze:
very nice animation and very good scene. Would love to see it animated as 3d or 2d colored. Nice lypsync.
Adam Clark:
I love the staging of scene and action. With all that is happening it is clear where my eye should be. I wish the line work was a little darker, a little hard to see. Great job!
Daniel Luke:
This is incredible! I love how each character has a different way of moving. And there's no hint of the final reveal either. I bow to you and your skills.
Tim Nowak:
Good drawing talent
Sunny Kharbanda:
Good work! The one thing that stuck out for me was when the big fish gets stiff around frame 250.
Henning Koczy:
Sweet! This deserves to be finished. One crit, laughing fish seems to go dead at the end.
Ceno:
The idea about aquarium its great!
Erik Westlund:
Nice character interaction. Smack on the face of large fish has the right amount of sting. I think some of the moves are happening a little late, such as the upward gesture to the left on "Phil, this is..." It feels like he should move into the pose before speaking. Similarly, accent on "... BEST, day of my life" pose on 'best' happens late. Swimming movement needs to be worked out to feel like the fish are propelling themselves. Designs are reading nicely, easy to distinguish one from the other while they change positions on screen. Needs one more pose changes on "Oh, I got that."
Helen Cranston:
Nice, really like this. Got the synching of the slaps perfect, not many have.
Senthilnathan D:
very nice work
Jason Smith:
Great 2D piece. Nice movements on the fishys.
Juan Z.:
really good work. i like the style.
Cristina Eiko:
I really like it, the swimming moves are nice and smooth, and the reaction of the big fish at the end is priceless.
Mathias AUBRY:
Really nice animation, I love it... my favorite one! I would have like to see it a bit more clean but I also like to see this stage.
Congratulation!
Alexandar Ivanchev:
Very nice!
Yeray Díaz Díaz:
Nice job, you did a great job on the first part where the character takes the lead as they swim, nice way to focus attention on him.
I think you lose it in the last part, is a little confusing. As they all come to a halt I there's a bit too much movement and there's no clear point to look at. Maybe it's the lack of contrast on the images.
You did, however, animate really well the "main" character he moves really nicely and I like the expressions you chose.
Nice solid 2D piece, congratulations!
Michael Cawood:
Really nice work. It will look great when those few frozen moments are brought to life.
HARISH:
excellent !!!
Bob Dole:
i especially like the slap at the end
RJay Bengelink:
excellent 2d. I would love to see the inked version of this. great movement
