Long Drive

Mike York:
The acting on the driver seems very stale and weird she doesn't blink at all for over 100 frames and maybe that it im not sure. She also seems to act very masculine. Maybe cause the driver is bald.
On frame 217 the guy in the back seat seems to get into a VERY weird position. On frame 236 as well it just seems way to un natural for his arms to break like that. Its almost there though.
Taber Dunipace:
GREAT body language and setup. I especially love the car swerve, nice.
Ken Rice:
Smooth animation with a lot of subtle things going on (maybe a tad too much). Only real criticism is that on first viewing the extreme arm movements of the middle character 3 quarters the way through the animation seemed a bit too exaggerated/unnatural.
Good stuff
Tyson Ibele:
The straight eyebrows were a bit offputting, and the girl at the beginning looked sort of neutral and expressionless...but the rest of the animation was great!
Josh Doohen:
excellent poses. expression, small details not overlooked!
Mariano Villegas Gonzalez:
One of the best works.
Jason Smith:
Great job. I love how annoyed the two in the front are.
Levi:
yeah this is looking really solid.
Greg M. Johnson:
Good body movements.
andyM:
like the acting, reactions, thought, etc.
some anim could still be tidied up a bit. lip sync could be stronger and some moves could be tighter.
like the car wobble feels a way too soft and the red guy lacks a bit of weight.
right direction, keep it up ;)
Alexandar Ivanchev:
Very nice ... The animation looks great. It seems like her hands look a bit stiff when she looses control on the wheel.
Virgil Tanasa:
i really like it :) good job!
Aaron Jonas:
nice work
Nick Hamilton:
Love it! Brilliant acting choices.
The interactions between the characters and the way the two in the front react to orange guy are fantastic. Love his excitement from bout frame 200
=)
Emmanuel:
I noticed the eye twitch, maybe raising it up more and doing the action than moving it up and down from 0 to whatever number.
Daniel Luke:
EYE TWITCH! Awesome Eye twitch. NIce move on how the car moved around when the driver was startled. Really nice.
Sunny Kharbanda:
I like the reactions and expressions on Phil. The exuberant character is well done too, but the woman's acting could be clearer, especially in the first half. Good work!
Henning Koczy:
Great laughs... excellent poses, readability, and subtlety. Best so far.
Richard Bannister:
What a great piece of animation!
This has wonderful staging, I like the idea that you can show the true emotions of the couple in the front of the car whilst the guy in the background is oblivious to everything. He is a true nut case and is quite obviously wearing them down.
If I had to criticise anything it would have to be the pose around 238 the upper left arm is a bit too extremely rotated accross his body and to me the pose feels awkard because of it.
Good luck.
Jeff Kim:
Nice touch with the car swirving. I likes!
Leon Gittens:
nice idea, works really well i like how the drive taps him on the hand really good acting, the front passengers expression towards the end is great,
one thing though the pose at the beginning is the same as the end, so i would start him probably relaxed may be or just looking out side the car, so that the end pose expression, stands out more
Ceno:
where U GOING?
Senthilnathan D:
good
Erik Westlund:
The relationship between the characters is very well established. Performances are convincing. Some missed opportunities though: when the car veers off coarse there is little evidence of effect of momentum on characters... their heads should drag a little after their bodies. When male character on left slumps with hand on face, it would be great to see a little bending and stretching of the eyebrows and eyelids with hand movement.
Yeray Díaz Díaz:
Beutiful shot, my favourit clip by far, amazing acting, specially on the screen left guy. You managed timing great to center attention on each character, on a scene with 3 characters that's not an easy thing to do. Great expressions and very nice touch on the quick drive move, made it a lot more interesting.
Congratulations on a great animation piece! Definately a winner for me.
Mauro Alemanno:
"i got that!" is great...but i see there's no anticipation
Traci Plagmann:
Overall this looks really good. The lipsync is great and the gestures are really natural. The one part that feels awkward to me is his elbows when he laughs. I think it's that they are pointed inward a little too much. Otherwise very strong!
Eric Scheur:
This is really nice!
I love all of the wonderful detail you have in here, and you've done a great job of leading the viewer's eye to exactly where you want them to look. :)
The acting and body animation are very well-done.
I think that your lipsync could be a little tighter. Sometimes the mouth seems to drift back into position after it's done speaking. For example, look between 118 and 133 where the woman's mouth settles back into her awkward smile after "too." That's about 15 frames--a half a second--for the mouth to go from one position to another. But our mouths generally move a lot faster than that, even when they're doing a more "relaxed" move. Getting from one mouth pose to the next quickly can be helped with some good easing in on the side of the second pose. I see other examples of this in your piece, but this is the basic pattern.
Overall, though, this is looking really really good! I look forward to seeing more of your work in future competitions!
Ron Price:
Hey, really terrific! Super clear attitudes with really nice details that don't detract from the main action.
Ravi Govind Kamble:
the pose at 215 looks way too extreme for me, but at first glance overall looks cool!
Michael Cawood:
Very nice work.
James Stevenson:
Great work, especially the facial on the middle character at the end. Some real expression in this entry, best so far for me. Top work, well done.
RJay Bengelink:
Nice car movement detail.
