Mike York:
I like your staging on this one. I really wish you animated the two other character's though :-(
Andrew Linke:
i really like the character and the animation but i don't understand the situation, with the other characters not appearing on screen or appearing to go anywhere.
Jason:
very nice contrast in poses. his liveliness is kinda distracting at times. smoother motions would definitely help.
Julianne McCartney:
Great animation, but the mime is talking!? Isn't that anti-mime behavior?! It's a great getup and I really like the acting. Great job!
jonathan fontaine:
I don't get the point ..but it is still very well animated
Josh Doohen:
cool looking character. timed motion and careful pauses...good job!
Kent Wong:
This is nice.. I like the final hand pointing part. Very stylish.
HARISH:
two characters in the background does not look like a very good stagging. but animation for this character looks good. keep it up !!!
Luciano A. Muñoz Sessarego:
good stuff, you've got some tweening in the hands that bothers me...
Greg M. Johnson:
Very good character movements. The one is done so well, I don't mind not seeing the others!
Frank G:
Mr. Burton and the Deppster will have rated this one very highly.
The degree of polish is tops.
The double handed point is the coolest of the lot.
Yeah, I liked the acting and gestures. This is a good one.
Alexandar Ivanchev:
Great mime character... your animation look great . Between frame 100 and 109 his hands go down and they seem like they are resting on something but they are actually not. There are a couple more places I noticed that ... you should try animating the arms in FK it would help you to prevent that.
luc:
Like what you did with him
Gill Frank:
nice work.
Daniel Luke:
Excellent concept and really great animation. My only concern is that I wasn't really sure where Phil was s'posed to be.
Tim Nowak:
Good flow of animation. I know its a mime but its was boring rather then interesting. BUT creative
Richard Bannister:
I like this alot.
He seems to have received a gift at the start of the animation? .. and that is why its "the best day of his life" but the fact that he is holding something is suddenly lost because the action of putting the gift down is too subtle... it requires more emphasis. When I first watched the clip it apeared that he doesn't put the gift down, it kinda disappears from his hands and he forgets about it. This threw me and took a few views to realise what he was doing. He is a mime remember and they always have to over emphasize smaller actions. (Not too much though as it would draw unnecessary attention to itself) - it needs to read more clearly is what I'm trying to say ;)
Aside from that however, the animation is great and you obviously know what you are doing.
Good luck!!
Ceno:
good really good
Erik Westlund:
Staging is a little awkward, it seems from this angle and distance that I should see the other characters. Hands move as if they are holding an invisible object do not interact with table-top but seem to rest on something else. Nice use of reversals and the energy level in posing does a good job of match intensity of audio.
yoozco:
one of the best entry this month. great facial poses, hands overall too, but when he start laughing somethings is wrong with hands.
anyway, my favorite one.
Mathias AUBRY:
nice rendering, nice make up... about the animation, it seems that you kept the arms in the Ik mode and sometimes they are just lock in the air which looks weird.
Also the first part of the animation, he is just looking at his hands which doesn't really make sens... especially after, when he seems to speak to others in the scene...
And the hands are also staying to much in the same position.
I really like the animation of the face, I really like the laugh.
Good job!
Ron Price:
Nice and simple and clear! Good changes in attitude. I like the hand work.
Roger:
Neat little gesture at the end! Nice overall acting too! Though I feel the character's laughter (action pose) near the end could come a little early; more of a timing issue.
Gustavo Negroni:
I think the timing on the dialogue was on and his facial expressions were very convincing. His hand movements seemed fine to me throughout except at the beginning where the movement is so little that it seems like they're being held on by invisible strings. A bit of more movement even while they're basically still could help improve that part of the gesture.
Chris Woods:
I like how the mime is "miming" a book or something in his hands at the beginning. The realization on "Oh... I got that" was nice too. He reacts well to the other characters off-screen.
Michael Cawood:
One of my absolute favourites, with a good spin on the idea.
David Shum:
frame 120s'
Ik hand locks into place. I know its a mime, but it is a little distracting :P
btw, why is it a mime?
Bob Dole:
why is the mime talking?
