In the Dark

Erik Westlund:
Very noisy burglars. Back and forth movement used for rear character is very distracting. Emphasis on dark lighting around characters in black is reducing silhouette value. Hand gestures are too obvious and unnatural. Walking in hallway isn't working as 'doing business' device.
Ryan Lowe:
the back and forth is WAY to rythmic. and the lighting choices were very wrong for this. also the tracking camera at this perspective doesn't work. solid animation though. good overlapping, and arcs.
Jean-Luc Delhougne:
Idea is not bad, but the animation is too much linear.. Add some nice inbetweens and arcs... And it will be good !
Rachel B:
I like the way you've set this up - walking down the street with the characters. The movements are a little too snappy - at least, I think that's what's bothering me. I like most of the little gestures throughout, but it needs something I can't quite put my finger on. Also, that big motion on "With what?" might be a little too much. Nice job overall though.
david maas:
Nice stuff going on with the switching sides... great character acting in the front charater
Michel Giguère:
Interesting idea, animation is well done and consistent. The guy in the back is taking away the focus off the front guy, so you kind of follow only one actor during the clip. Still pretty good work
James O'Neill:
There is some good movement, but I would suggest loosening up the wrists and elbows a bit. The arm movements seem a bit robotic. Some actions seem a little unclear, maybe do more to let us know what is going on, or simplify it. Good job.
Marco Palmieri:
I really think the two guys need to make some eye contact at some point. Also, watch out for repeating actions.
Victor Wong:
Excellent storytelling elements and movement.
Russell:
I think this has a lot of entertainment value. The animation is stylized and has humor. However, there are some issues with the technical animation.
The stiffness of the characters seems like a style choice, but you can contrast the stiffness, and even accentuate it, if you have more overlap on settling poses. Contrast is what makes something stylized.
The mouth shapes are funny, but a little overdone. Hogans mouth has issues with being too wide open all the time. I think he has some controls to pull his mouth shapes in a little more.
Natascha Evans:
i find him going back and forth behind the guy more distracting than anything. I think once or twice is fine but more than that and its too much.
Also the box doesn't really do much in the scene but hide a lot of the characters bodies. would have been nicer to see it. or a smaller box
sean connolly:
great characters. one suggestion is to have that guy in the rear come closer to the box guys face when he says "still cut a...". that way when the box turns around he can make eye contact (maybe just turn his head to the right a bit). nice job though.
Romain Digonnet:
missing animation in the shoulders and the arms.
I understand the choice of going from the left to the right, but it seems too much.
Phillip Johnson:
- Elbows pop and arms look very stiff same with spines. I like the back guys moves from side to side but he does it too many times.
Mark Kennedy:
Great Story choice.
Chelsea Hiatt Farley:
Love the slides from side to side on the guy in the back. The last one is distracting, though, in the middle of his line.
Ken Vass:
audio seems distorted...and guy in the background is distracting in a few instances
Brian Boswell:
Crook #2 feels like he is being pulled around by invisible hands. Either that, or he was allowed to ride the invisible people mover.
Elisa:
At first the guy behing moving quickly was really fun and was helping a lot in the comedy, but try not using it too much, because it became too confusing that he is always moving left and right.
jeff:
nice , but need more acting
