Wow there are some really nice things going on in here. I really like how much you are pushing your perspective and how right on it really is. I think this has a really strong chance and winning Best of luck 2 you
André Moreira Forni:
Nice animation, love the chracters and the acting choices, althought u should have all the drawings !
Taber Dunipace:
Gonna make choosing a favorite hard this month huh? :D
M.Bell:
Youve got some very nice acting choices in this one. I especially like the skinny guys gesture and articulation of the dialog at the end. Very solid if only it were more completed.
Richard Clark:
This is great. Like to see it more polished.
Virgil Mihailescu:
this is really great acting, if only the animation would be finished... a lot of stars from me anyway ;)
Ryan Lowe:
FANTASTIC!!! great acting choices! sync is spot on! arcs are a little rocky, but with traditional animation thats to be expected. otherwise great timing.
Ezra Allen:
the guy with the cigar is lacking weight, he goes straight to all his poses in a bit of a linear fashion. he feels like hes got a broom up his ass try to make him settele more into his poses.
Also when he takes the cigar out of his mouth theres no draw on the cigar, its nicely animated as he takes it out but you feel a bit short changed that theres no draw and no smoke.
If you could get him to Draw on the cigar it would add alot of character, bring the head back and the shoulders up after then the chest up, then let it out. Currently he just keeps putting it in his mouth which is kind of dissapointing.
On the skinny guy when he says "murder", this feels too rushed, its like your trying to fit that in with getting the character back over to the position over by the body. I would have given more time to the pose on murder and held it, you have plenty of time to have him stalk over to the body while the guy with the cigar is talking.
Nice characters, good volume. I like the waving of the cigar, obviously theres a fair bit of clean up to be done here, but good effort.
Michel Giguère:
Nice drawings. Choice of making very visually different characters adds a level of interest. Too bad there are some missing frames, but I don't know what is involved to have every frame in 2D animation drawing. Movements are very smooth and I like your choice of poses.
David Ruzicka:
it's not finished
Virgil Tanasa:
cool! only thing that bothers me is the pose for "all the more reasons" - it looks more like he's thinking of something to say rather than making a point. and he doesn't really seem to react to the other guy's lines.
but nice work! i like it.
Mark Kennedy:
Nice acting! Fabulous animation. I think you have you first smile too early and the next one is too sincere. I think he needs to look more sarcastic. The eye roll is good, but I don't think it reads as well as it could. You could exaggerate the head movement or give it a bit more antic. Even have the eye roll going while he is saying great.
Really nice stuff though, lots of really good animation in this.
Jean-Luc Delhougne:
Too bad it looks unfinished because the animation is pretty nice...
Daniel Harris:
Great! I like it! Not sure what the motivation is for the guy on the left to walk away from the camera. Ed Hooks would argue that a character that moves without motivation moves without purpose. Love the style though, the designs really fit the voices well too! Keep it up!
Jamie:
nice stuff. Good lip sync.
Helen Cranston:
Like your use of perspective
Boris Maras:
Nice, I think this is a really strong piece. The only thing that keeps catching my eye is the character's mouth on the left from frame 39-77. The mouth is sliding quite a bit with could have been a style choice but to me it seems like the jaw doesn't stretch enough with his mouth for the expression in frame 55. Other than that I thought your characters acted well, were appealing, and the staging was neat too. Looking forward to more!
jonathan fontaine:
wow great
! in the frame 163, the hand should have be mor late.. with the face of the hand facing camera
Sergey B.:
Nice work man!!!
Lisa Taylor:
You have some really nice poses in there and I like the use of perspective on 'murder'. It just needs final tweaking and finishing off really.
Erik Westlund:
Very nice. I like how distinct each character design is from the other, although I'm not convinced that they would have dealings with each other... but that's another issue. Animation looks complete to me. Staging is a little awkward because I read the knife-in-body as background instead of foreground... needs some forced perspective/use of scale. Composition between characters is good, nice flow and direction for audience focus. Pose on "..Murder!" moves into the turn too quickly, needs a little easing out of the overshoot before the turn. Great finish. You hit the intensity just right.
Mariah:
Wonderful fluidness! Nice to see 2D with beautiful movement!
Russell:
This is killer work. Nice volume, nice arcs, the facial animation is superb. And its entertaining. Awesome.
My only critique would be adding some small motions on the heavy guy during his held pose (frames 66-113). The eye blink is nice, but it isn't quite enough.
Kent Wong:
Nice smooth animation... Love the poses, love the smooth arcs motions, love the acting. Very clear characteristics and interesting facial. Cool piece! You have my biggest vote!
Lianna Scrimger:
EXCELLENT! Although it loses a star for being unfinished, I think you did a nice job of covering your basics here, and the gestures had a lot of flair! Good job
Joseph Leung:
Nice job. I didn't feel like the voices suited these characters, but your animation made it believable. Good work.
RJay Bengelink:
I would love to see the final. great pencil test. good movement, but distracting not being finished or at least cleaned up.
Sam Caudill:
awesome characters! Very expressive and fit the audio perfect.
Elisa:
unfortunately there are frames missing, but it's great notheless
Phillip Johnson:
Best lipsync i've seen so far in this months comp. Really great shot.
J K:
Cool
Nolan:
Great work, all I would say is clean it up so there is no disappearing body parts, its really not even that big of a deal because the animation is so solid, it would look nice though. Love the hands.
page:
nice expression
Romain Digonnet:
Needs to be finished, but a very nice start.
I like the action with the cigare at the end between the fingures.
wei keong:
I like the guy walking away and turning back to retort. Great poses.
sean connolly:
great expressions. great characters.
Marco Palmieri:
good use of the space. easy to read poses. some gestures aren't quite right but good overall!
Joshua:
wonderful expressions! You did an awesome job giving these characters a sense of life. You can actually see their thought process.
Bill:
Last line of dialogue is especially nice.
Jonathan Mitchell:
this is really cool I like the setup of the action and the secondary motion is good very interesting visually
