Jason Smith:
Great expressions and animation! I love how he opens the box.
Daniel Huertas:
i like the last part when he moks her or mimics.. but the lenght of the audio couldn't make it fit propertly it looks a little too much rehersed and pushed all the poses together... keep it up
rekhathorat:
good anim.. however better staging could have helped this good anim
Ken Rice:
This has come a long way over the course of your WIPs. There are some nice expressions and poses here. However I still feel the timing is rushed too much movement is crammed in. Some pauses with maybe even more exaggerated poses I think would have helped your animation a lot good stuff.
Tyson Ibele:
Hahah I loved the acting choices for the woman, but the lip sync was waaaay off on all counts. If that were improved this one would be fantastic!
Tim Nowak:
HA! And average old couple showing some love.
Emmanuel Vergne:
i like the way she turn around from him
Maybe you could smooth your curves a little bit, so that it doesn not appear so snappy
The lipsync seems a bit off
Johan Fruh:
Very nice acting on the old lady! I like a lot :).
I've got a few critics on the boy though:
- I find it odd that he looks away right after saying her name and offering the package.
-He moves a bit too far back when she says "A fruit cake?" and then he comes back. Makes a lot of movement for a hesitation.
-He starts imitating her a bit quickly, he only heard "remarkably like.." and he's already mad at her.
Rashmi Borole:
loved the modified andy rig ! great expressions too
Mariya Kalachova:
Good, my only criticism is that I think the boy reacts negatively too fast, before he could realize what the old woman is saying.
Taber Dunipace:
Too fast. He's reacting before she's even finished! Good acting choices and nice animation quality.
Imus zai:
no comment! straight to the point!
Aaron Clement:
I like it... maybe putting the cake under her nose only the first time was enough... I like the manerisms.
Mason Saucier:
Very good characters. They act their parts very well. The only problem I see is that lip sync is a little off, but over all good job!
Frank G:
She really does like him. Nice acting.
lizzie:
lip sync could be clearer
Ramit Batra:
I like the snobbish attitude you have put in the characters :)
Great Anim
Erik Westlund:
I like the idea that he has to check if the gift is, in fact, a fruitcake. The posing for the characters reads clearly, and propels the concept behind this animation. The intensity level of the poses matches the intensity of the audio. The movement between poses for the male character has more clearly defined arcs (frames 192-226) but could be even stronger. The last line spoken by Mrs. M has several good poses/accents (230, 260, 279, 302, 325) but the movement between these poses is still a bit linear. I've been harsh in critiquing a few animators for this contest who have the male character mock Mrs. Munchnick but in your case it seems to be less of a comment about her and more in character for, as well as a comment on, him.
ClintW:
haha...love the attitudes...
Marco Roberts:
I really like it. Good use of suttle movements.
Aaron Jonas:
Good stuff, lipsync looks off a litte
Ian Johnston:
I find my focus being combated for between the two actors at the end with his reaction and her reaction. Where is the love? Nice facial animation, but the acting choices left me feeling cold and neither character really likable. It might help to have Mrs. Muchnik not so chilled from the beginning. If she was facing him all the way until she realizes it's her fruitcake, then turns away would add some drama. I saw what you did with her face in the beginning and it's cute for a grandma, but again my focus is on the guy giving the fruitcake so I didn't even see it until the 4th time through. Work on the movement putting our focus where you want it to carry the story, and it will tighten up nicely.
Joe Jacob:
Lip sync on Mrs. Munchnik(sic) was a little off, but otherwise quite good.
Ern:
really great facial movement
Senthilnathan D:
wow...too good... nice body movement
Dan Harriman:
The guy responds to the rejection really quickly. I think it would be better if he didn't do that parody-wagging-of- the-jaw until after mrs munchnik finished speaking. Then we would actually notice it.
HARISH:
very goood !!! both character have that " attitude " . i like the actions too.
RaymondNg:
good...I like the women
The reaction of the man can be more strong
David Andrade:
There are some cool gestures in there but there's too much pose to pose going on. It kills the animation. I especially love 353. That's powerful stuff. Do you need to have her move so much in the beginning? Why not just start closer? I end up watching her over the fruit cake bit. He puts it in her face twice, it's kind of odd, because he does it with the same energy and timing as the first time. If you're going to do that, plus itsome more.. "Yesss" really lean into a smile, this is a person who has never had a good history with her and he is trying his hardest
Adam Clark:
both characters seem very restless, a lot of unnecessary movements
Brad Regier:
You really made his face look like Steve's!
The second time he offers it up to her, it could be lower or somehow a different pose. Timing a bit off (too prompt) on her peeking and his mimicking.
V_I_C_K_Y:
I simply loved the attitude & Expression..;)
Ambuj:
:D
Yeray Díaz Díaz:
Nice facial work, I like the extreme expressions. However I think you're pushing too much movement into the male character, he attracts too much attention as the lady barely moves. He also reacts a little too soon to the lady's final comment.
Motionwise the weight when throwing the cake seems a little off, it seems way too light. Adding a stronger anticipation and followthrough might help. Some moves on the male character are too linear, from f140 to f153 he backs off, that's an example, maybe adding a nice bent breakdown would help.
Still, I like the piece, good effort!
Jay Grenier:
Neat acting choices. I think the overall polish could use some more love, and the the old man could move a little more like an old man, but I like it overall. Nice work.
Mark Pearce:
Wow....just wow! Great idea, Really great acting choices! Just superb! The only thing I could possibly think to criticize would be the mid-grey lambert on the picture frames!
