GOod work, but she does the same gesture twice with the same energy and weight. Can you do one of the extremes with it? Pull it back or push the energy more? Really revela more about her character.
I think this is a woman who's never blinked in her life and for fear of missing every word on the page and every movement in society. You know? Make her way more stern and affirmative, fewer blinks, gives it power.
at 240 there is a breath but you barely hint at it. That stuff could really add to it. Because there's a lot of main body acting, but there's no secondary stuff really. Her glasses.. her brows, all moving as one unit, offset it a bit.
And work on the pose more, 245, What can her shoulders say about her situation? A lot of people forget shoulders, I say put more of it in there :)
191: i like his hands there but i think you could just a little bit more play and push the shoulders a tiny bit more. Think of yourself as kid who just broke the largest vase in a store and you have to admit to your mother... yessss.... you know, you shoudlers would be higher your eyes would maybe be bigger or smaller (push it :D) Your hands would be gripping your very soul.
Good work :)
Mike York:
I really like what you did with lowmax nice job.
Aaron Clement:
I like the way your clip flows... it flows nice and smothly. Some great exaggeration with the expressions, too... The yellow background detracted, I thought... Good job overall, though.
Nathan Jent:
Nice stuff. But it looks like a cherry pie to me =)
Taber Dunipace:
Nice animation quality and acting choices. A bit boring on Mrs. Munchnik's side, but I dig the Rastafarian hairdo.
M.Bell:
Hahaha, I love it. Love the guy, love his nose, great stuff.
Personally I feel hes moving a bit quick at the start, when he delivers his "Merry Christmas" line, and bends over to place the cake on the table. Perhaps you couldve kept him still-erand used the pause after the line of dialogue for him to present the cake to her.
Still
Great Stuff, very amusing and FUN to watch!
Anthony Travieso:
This is cool shot. I really like the animation.
Jeff Kim:
Love this one. I only wish that when the lady moves back, she does so as she say's "a fruitcake?" Right now you have her go back and then say her line. To me this looks too planned and less organic. Otherwise, this is very good!
Yeray Díaz Díaz:
Nice job! Nice style, tight animation, I like the expressions on both characters and the lady's hair is hilarous. You really made the faces look connected and fluid, really nice job.
The only thing I find it's off is the lipsync, the oo's seem to be, if not missing very subtle, maybe it's a rig thing.
Still, very nice job, lots of style and expressions. Congratulations!
Emmanuel Vergne:
Nice react at the end, maybe a little too broad but nice
Nice acting, smooth with good rhythm
Nice lipsync too, but the sound "oo" on "the one" could be clearer, i think we don't read it enough
Peter Carisi - de Lappe:
Good facial work.
Ken Rice:
Nice and colourful animation - lipsync feels off to me.
Renaud Déchaux:
One of the best for sure!
gerardo:
very cartoon, i like camera shots, and expressions
Dave H Shovlin:
Awesome.
Hernán Bruna Villarroel, 16 y old:
I'll never wash my eyes again!
Chris Welsby:
very nice! I love the facial animation, its got a really nice flexible feel about it! The body movements are really nice and subtle as well, they let the great facial animation sell the piece
Andrew Stovesand:
nice, snappy facial animation
Ramit Batra:
Nice look and great anim!
doc:
nice job, the mouths are great
Mariya Kalachova:
Awesome!! my only criticism is that the last bit of animation (that take) seems a little off. Great work!!!
selvaraj:
Very good animation.
Emmanuel:
Really good animation! I like the expressions and the lip syncing!
Damian Isherwood:
Really nice job, I like the clay look.
Jesse Baumgartner:
Really nice stuff.
Lauren Andersson:
good acting!
Brad Regier:
i love the S&S in the last shot!
Dan Harriman:
Very good!! This is wonderful to watch! The only thing I have to say is that the flamboyancy of the actions don't quite fit. Not quite. In this case less is more in terms of action. Even so this one is very lovable.
Michael Cawood:
Mr's Munchnik doesn't look very femanine but other wise this is very nice. I particularly like the take after "...last year". Well done.
Sunny Kharbanda:
Nice facial expressions.. the timing on the lipsync seems slightly off. Try moving your lipsync keys a few frames before the sound, especially for her last line.
sharad kumar:
a good one!..but i think while keeping the cake he should be a tad bit slower....keep it up!
Mat Brady:
Lip syncing way out. but the expressions are spot on. Poses need a bit of work, but really well done. Keep it up.
gerardo castellanos:
one of the best! I like it very much
Jason Smith:
Great job.
Cameron Huber:
I like it man! You did a really nice job on the "yes..." motion as well as his final reaction. Rockin! I especially like the puppy dog eyes at the end - it's subtle but it works really nicely
H. Oliveira:
Best one, i've seen so far! but 50 left!
jonathan fontaine:
i like the final sight
jonathan topf:
nice and snappy
Tim Nowak:
HA! Made me laugh. Good job on making this. Nice smoothness and weights. aaaa. look at that puppy face at the end.
Frank Gaschk:
Best one so far. She really grinds out her lines really well with her acting, not wanting to even put down her book thus diminishing the value of his gift. His defensive hand and arm positions speak well but some tension or psychological gesture in the hands (a bit too relaxed) may have heightened the emotion?
chia:
very nice touch when she says it's a fruit cake. great one.
cheers,
chia
Mark Pearce:
Great use of the principles of animation! Especially that last movement by the male character! I really enjoyed it!
HARISH:
Excellent !!!
Pablo Piccione:
Reall, really good! Good Cameras too!. I think that you have good expressions here. Nevertheless, your lip sync need ti be polished. Good Work!
Ambuj:
Woaah!! Cool! The best entry!
Sergey B.:
Nice animation realy good! I like this animation nice pose and face expressions, great work
Tyson Ibele:
Excellent work....animation looks great! Love the big sad eyes at the end :D
Matthew Simkins:
great stuff. nice lip syncing. I think you should make the lady put the book down to accentuate her cynical reply. It currently looks a little like you've stuck the book in her hand to save having to animate them ;)
Markus Kallio:
excellent animation, very organic and well acted. :) 11+
Lindsay Thompson:
Great expression at the end.. My favorite 3D piece!
Erik Westlund:
Shot sequence is nicely staged, transitions are seamless. Overacting has a certain stylized appeal... accept at the very end where the male character's reaction (frames 330-373) is over-the-top to a point that is distracting from the performance. Funny rhythms in the accents and overshoots. Nice emphasis on certain poses (frames 66, 250, 310). Love the pouting/disgruntled quality of Mrs. Munchnick. Entertaining.
lizzie:
the womans lip sync is a bit off. but some nice acting animation
Matt Hirengen:
Faaaantastic. the lady could use a little more facial expression, but overall, great timing and poses.
