Neil Polenske:

I know this is supposed to be focused on the animation, and indeed your animation looks awesome, but I gotta make note that's an incredible use of the camera.

C. J. Cow:

pretty good stuff but im not sure about the camera movement...

Jason Pennington:

very well done. one of the strongest i've seen.

Christopher Sosa:

the scene was done beautifully but the facial animation seems too extreme. Eyes and brows are really good but the lips look to uncomfortable.

Renaud Déchaux:

Great scene, the lipsync is maybe too strong with the mouth expression, but it's very dramatic! great job!!

Chris Welsby:

i really like it, the set up of the shot and the camera move work really well. I think some of the lip sync looks a little bit off in places, but really like the end pose and expression of the guy. Nice work

Carlos Fins:

Very nice. You really pushed the facial expressions of this model I think the cut to the other character on the other side of the door is good. Very nice work. Great work on "do this." I'd say there's just a bit too much pushing on the frowning mouth pose, but that's about it. Great work.

David Atkins:

great... a bit float... to much emotion... to sad.
IMO

Max Herzfeld:

This is incredible,

Absolutely amazing animation, even the modeling of the enviornment is great.

The *sniff looks like her face just gets tense though.

But deffinately one of the best.
Max

Tomislav Belacic:

I like composition and camera movement!! Plenty of emotion to see in such short period of time. Great work!!!!

Mike Clark:

nice. Solid animation. Very cinematic. You're getting some weird mouth shapes but besides that, very strong. Nice acting choices too.

bruno hamzagic:

very dramatic piece :-)

Paul Yan:

Great direction!

Tom Law:

I love the staging it this, as well as the expressions.

Tyler Phillips:

Nice and dramatic.

Jonathan Gomez:

I love it!! If you push for more variation of her mouth shapes instead of a constant frown this piece could be 11 stars. great work!!!

Kristoffer Clark:

Really good job. I really like the way you envisioned the audio clip. Only thing that i felt took away from it was the exaggeration of the sad mouth shape. It made some of the words in the lip sync look strange.

Roger Feron:

I think this worked really well! The 'sniff' pose seemed a little forced, but the rest was nice.

Cole Higgins:

great set up and camera work but I dont feel like her facial emotions and body gestures are clear enough. around frame 126 she looks kind of wierd and a little ugly. It takes me out of the scene. Work on more clear emotions and youve got some great stuff.

Michael Li:

Awesome! The only thing I found nitpicky was her mouth looking a bit too deformed around frame 102/3, but otherwise a super great short film :)

Aaron Clement:

It's good what you have, but it would have been funny to have the guys laughing or feeling really happy with himself... would have made for a nice contrast... but good natural animation.

P Walters:

Nice emotion, I like the pan to the other character through the door.

Yeray Díaz Díaz:

Wow! beautiful work, there's a bit of an audio sync problem but I'm not taking it into consideration. Amazing work!

garvey harris:

yer, this is the hotdog so far, love the idea of establishing that there is another character that is being spoken to and the whole facial and body expressions are there, this gets a thumbs up from me

David Humphreys:

the sniffle dosent seem to strong and her mouth shape dosent make it work well but thats all i got! great work!

Ezra Allen:

nice set up I like the camera move

Taylor Potts:

Great set up and body gestures. Really try to make it look like she is saying the words. Great expressions, too.

Chris Sutherland:

i like the switch to another character... emotions are easy to read also, mouth might be over-exaggerated at times

Vivian Nikolich:

The camera pan to reveal the other side of the door is really unique and clever. I also liked how you attributed the knocking sound in the beginning to the girl bumping her head on the door.
My main problem with this was that the frowning expression on the girl made the face awkwardly wrinkled/shaped. This could just be because of the way the rig was made, or maybe you were pushing the rig too far.

Mark Dickie:

Not quite there, but nice effort. I don't really like the mouth expressions she has; they just aren't very convincing. The acting and mechanics around the eyes are pretty sweet though.

Ramit Batra:

Very interesting story telling!

Florent Perrin:

good try in staging. Think the facial poses are to pushed to appear natural. Worth the try to calm them down, make them more subtle.

Mervyn:

great emotion displayed here in this animation..good effort! But I find the mouth abit too much on the downside.... almost forced agony.

Mike Courtney:

Wow. My only thought is at "give in" the mouth frowns too much to allow the words to come out properly.

Simon Bean:

A rightful contender for the winner's spot. Great cinematic treatment, lovely acting. Some of the mouth shapes need work. Hope that helps :)

miles southan:

Great work but I wish you'd stayed on her side. It would make sense to do what you did if suddenly her voice got muffled but right now it seems like an odd choice. Her fingers are a bit stiff as well.

Renzo Biffa E.:

very good rendering, but there’s not the point, more lip-sync work and the snif part at frame 130 was not good. but they seem to be alive and that’s enough, sorry for my english.

Felix:

great, really great. very good acting... for my opinion, the motions were a bit too smooth, would not be amiss to give it a little bit more punctuation. but excellent work at all.

Victor Wong:

Very nice acting on the part of both characters.

Dan R. Johnson:

Wonderful acting.

Matt Morris:

Nice work! Love the scenario and cam move. Don't like the shapes the mouth is making much (more of a rig problem than yours I guess).

Phillip Moon:

Sweet.

Taber Dunipace:

Normally I don't like these types of scenes with fancy camera moves but I think in this case you used it well to tell the story. And that's the bottom line for me. You told a good story with the acting, animation, and staging all working together. Great job!

Virgil Mihailescu:

wow, a lot of pain here... maybe some contrast in their attitudes would have helped - like have him not care about her plaintive accusations, especially since there is a door (symbolically) separating them. also, the expressions don't look that good, maybe you've overused that frown. on the other hand, his expressions look awesome. her body animation looks great too. all in all, very nice stuff that could be pushed more.

Michael Richard:

Probably the most emotion I've seen with this rig, good job! I feel that the sniff should happen with the mouth closed, though.

Alexis St-Laurent:

Nice camera, just a little bit more exageration for the lip-sync. Otherwise, really good!

Gregory Marlow:

WOW. this looks really good except for that over exagerated frown. contorts their face way too much

Matt Garward:

Nice idea, nice direction, good subtle animation overall. The extreme expressions work for the most part, some good strong emotion coming through. Watch your lipsync... I can't find the 'V' in "give in" when I watch this without sound. Also make sure that 'ih' and 'ee' sounds still pull the mouth up, and 'oh' and 'oo' sounds still push the mouth out... he mouth seems to get stuck in that extreme corners-pulled-down shape and the lipsync is weakened by that sometimes. otherwise I think this is a very good piece.

Micah Betts:

Great job overall, I think the frown during the sniffing sound may have been stayed at the extreme a bit too long

David Apgar:

hey nice layout. It really helped with the overall mood. I really like how you animated the girl. The shoulders are really nice. I think the overall mouth shape was pulled a little to far down in the corners though to convince me she could actually speak in that position. Good stuff though

Curtis Hunt:

nice stuff. great acting. Lip sync needs a wee bit of work. More precision to the shapes. the mouth just seemed too open all the time.

Henning Koczy:

awww. great acting. Those corners of her mouth are really unappealing though.

Robert Tighe:

Very nice camera work Super posing. I can feel this one. I would push the mouth shapes and improve the lip synch.

Bilal Ahmad:

nice effort!

Sean Graham:

Cool idea. Good execution.
